That's a generous offer to help her. At least now there are a couple of options.

I already contacted a foster mom, just in case. I'm going to try to find out if there are experienced whelpers in the rescue network. Again, this is just in case Talina decides she needs help. I just want to have options lined up for you in case you need them.

Could he have fathered her puppies, I know they used to take really good care of her, she was never on the street or anything they spent a lot of money one her before the economy got the way it did. they say they are 100% that the puppies were fathered by the teacup yorkie which is only 2.5 lbs my guess is that they probably bred them on purpose and never expected to be homeless. my boyfriend took her to the vet they say she's perfectly healthy and only shows 3 very small puppies, he said she might need a little assistance during birth but only if she has trouble cutting the cord and such. I'm soo relieved but please if you or anyone you know have any recomendations please let me know. I dont know how I always get into these things people always call me asking me to help rescue dogs, the only thing is I dont have that much money, I mean vet care is no problem my dads best friend is a vet and sometimes doesnt even charge me. But I need to buy other stuff also if anyone has blankets or anything their babies dont use anymore please let me know... BTW Compton is a city in Los angeles, I no longer live their i live closer to the LAX in Gardena!
thanks everyone.
She posted this earlier. I'm east and clueless!

I am way east and north. How big is this girl? If she is tiny then a planned csection is the best way if you plan on following through with the pregnancy. A vet in the pocket is great but what if she needs an emergency csection? Is he willing to be on call 24/7?How about losing her during the birth? Please read on this. If you financially cannot afford the care and delivery then how about the spay? They are around $100-$150 and if you have a vet that may do it for free?? That would save you lots of money and her the process of birth. So many things can go wrong with a birth especially from a tiny girl. I just feel bad for this poor girl........

That's what scares me.
OP, I sent you a PM. Seriously, no pressure! I'm just offering you options.

Well my boyfriend talked it over with our vet, his clinic is actually open until 1 am, He is available 24/7 and so is his vet tech, they all know me very well and I have complete trust in him, as far as her being too small, I thought she was a teacup but it turns out she has a ver healthy weight of 4.1 lbs. The vet gave me peace of mind said she is very healthy and he doesnt think she will have any problems, He said to call him when I notice she's in labor He even goes to my house sometimes :-)

Me too! I have bred Yorkies for 11 years and prior to that Cockers. That girl looks too tiny in my opinion and I think safety for her is top priority. Why not just get her spayed now and have a beautiful pet?

I understand your wanting to do what you think is the right thing for this Momma and her puppies...but, are you really able to provide ALL that will be needed including the cost of a C-Section if she needs one? Will you & your BF be available 24/7 for the birth and care of a litter? If you answer no to either...please do what's right for this Momma and surrender to a reputable rescue group.

I am a foster mom for Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue and would be willing to help you. I'll pm you my phone number and email.

Best of luck!

I sent the OP a pm earlier suggesting YTNR. I am really concerned with this one. Someone needs to find some threads for her where problems occured....this is a scary thing and not for people with no experience.

I was in the EC one night and a gal came in with a yorkie that had a puppy stuck...it died. Then, when they told her how much the delivery and possible c section would cost, she refused. Heaven only knows what happened to that poor momma yorkie. I will never forget seeing her with that bewildered look on her face.

Yes 4 pounds is small. If you plan on having the puppies then I would have a planned C section then. Even that comes with risks but if they section her she can be spayed at the same time. Something your vet friend could do for free also. The pups will be delivered then they spay her and you bring pups and mom home. It will be difficult to get them to nurse and have mom accept them for the first 2-3 days but then it is better. And 3 pups for a 4 pound girl is alot also. Then you must watch for eclampsia which is not cheap for IV calcium, or you may have to bottle feed the pups and that is a every 2-3 hour demand so no working and lots of lost sleep. I just want to do read all you can here, weigh your and her options and chose the best one for HER. She deserves it.

I see where your vet makes house calls. I surely hope so.

Good luck.
