| Thank you for mushroom reminder. I was going to say, if you have a vet that you go to on a regular basis, and if you have pets, you should have that vet. It would be nothing to go in have the vet see your dog and on checkout say that you forgot your wallet, you're going to have to 'bill me'. At that point what are they going to do? Take back the exam and meds that they just handed you? I have actually forgotten my wallet and they've billed me. So I guess if you really left your wallet at home, kind of on purpose......just sayin' Is that wrong?

| He had a small seizure after we gave him 5 mg of 50/50 pedialyte/formula. This isn’t good. I don't know what to do. |

| He really needs to be seen by someone. Here is a link to emergency vets in your area....Maybe if you call them, you can find one that will help you. I would start at the top of the list and work down. http://surewestyellowpages.com/searc...s0_on_ll_.html

| Oh no! Was that kid formula you gave your pup? That doesn't sound right. Glad ladyjane gave you a list of places to call. Please try finding some help tonight.

| Click this link, print it out and get familiar with it. Hopefully you won't need it tonight. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...uture-use.html Can you take you dog's temperature? Any thermometer, dipped in lube (vaseline, cooking oil, k-y Jelly). Insert thermometer about 1 inch up his butt, straight in, angled slightly toward the spine, slowly. Leave in about a minute. 100-102.5 is normal. What color are his gums?

| Oh no. Now I am so worried. Take him to emergency. Like someone said, forget your purse/wallet at home and work out payments later.

Take his temp again after a few minutes, if it starts to drop... good. Take it every 15 minutes. If it goes up again, reapply the alcohol, carefully. If the alcohol doesn't bring his temp down, get some frozen vegies from the freezer, or put some ice in a bag. Lay a lightweight towel on top of the dog, and the ice or vegies on top of the towel. Get some of the ice pack on his head. Keep checking his temp, and move the ice from one side to the other, so the skin isn't damaged. Keep the ice on him till his temp begins to drop. Keep checking his temp till it stabilizes. If it drops under 99-98 degrees, get a warm towel from the dryer and wrap him in it. Temp needs to be between 100-102.5. If his gums are pale to white, he really needs to see a vet immediately. If his gums are pink, and his temp is stable, he may be okay till morning, but you will have to watch him. I can't guarantee this because I do not know what is wrong with him.

| FYI, that doesn't work with ER vets. They give you an estimate and require payment upfront or they will turn you away. |
