| ![]() Here's a link (these are benefits for people, there are other links for pets but that reseach is still in early stages): Coconut Research Center Home Page And just some of the basics: It is antibacterial, antifungal, can be taken internally or used topically, great for skin, hair, digestion, helps expel internal parasites inc giardia, kills bacterial that causes tooth decay and periodontal disease....etc. ![]()

I think Cooper did a little better last night. Either that or I just slept hard. I heard his mouth a little bit but it certainly wasn't an all night continual event. I did not give any Benadryl as I wanted to see if not giving the Leba III made a difference. I'll have to test one thing at a time.

| ![]() I am just seeing this. Interesting thread. I agree that it sounds like the Leba III might be what is causing it. Honestly, I stick with only the following things with my pups: teeth brushing CET AquaDent in their water dentals yearly as needed, which usually IS yearly I had heard from a couple of people that the AquaDent worked for them...so I started using it a year ago. This year, three of my pups did not need dentals in February which is when I always do all of them. They are all starting now to get some tartar, so they will need dentals in the next month or two; but the point is, there was improvement!

If this problem turns out not to be Leba III, I would love some updates about how you feel about this product. I had not heard of it before. Just did some reading online, but most of what I see is their advertisements. Might be a good thing, though....because I don't see anything negative! How is Cooper today?

Cooper seems fine. He never seems sick or anything. It's just that in the middle of the night I hear his mouth going. Last night either he did it less or I slept great. Today he seems fine but he typically doesn't do this behavior unless he's sleeping in bed.

| ![]() Just a note about the CET Aquadent: I do realize it has xylitol in it...and dont suggest to anyone that they take my word in using it. Do your own research before thinking about using it!

| ![]() Just checking in for an update. How's the Cooper dude sleeping? Any better? The Leba III changes the chemistry in the mouth to make it unfriendly for the tooth destoying bacteria. Might make him feel like we do after using Listerine or something???

It still could be something in the bedroom, like dust mites but at this point I really don't know. He has no other signs of allergies or health issues at all.

| ![]() Maybe give it a few more days to resolve, as you're seeing improvement during the day. When and how often were you applying the LebaIII? This just reminded me... my little Peek a Boo went through a period where he would make suckling noises in his sleep! I woke up thinking what the heck? And I watched him for a few minutes and lips and tongue were moving in such a way like a puppy suckling on it's mom! He was around 7 or 8 years old at the time. I guess he was just dreaming of being with his mom ... or early onset of senility and going through a second childhood? ![]()

| ![]() Just some tips for tooth brushing: 1. Use an enzymatic tooth paste for pets. The enzymes work to clean the teeth even when you're done brushing. 2. If your dog won't accept a toothbrush in his mouth, apply the enzymatic toothpaste with a Q-tip, or experiment with different size/types brushes. 3. Be patient, and relax. The enzymes in the toothpaste will work even without brushing. If your pup has a lot of plaque on his teeth, you won't get it all off in one sitting. It may take weeks even months to clean up their mouth. But each time will get better, just don't stress to much over it. Your pup will pick up on your anxiety. Make it fun!

Leba III says you cannot use any other dental product while using Leba III. I'll give it a few more days before I start brushing.
