Honestly, I stick with only the following things with my pups:
teeth brushing
CET AquaDent in their water
dentals yearly as needed, which usually IS yearly

I had heard from a couple of people that the AquaDent worked for them...so I started
using it a year ago. This year, three of my pups did not need dentals in February which is when I always do all of them. They are all starting now to get some tartar, so they will need dentals in the next month or two; but the point is, there was improvement!
The reason I started using Leba III was that I was explaining to my vet a couple of months ago that I was having difficulty brushing his teeth and not quite sure it was doing anything. Both vets in the practice suggested Leba III so I tried it. Cooper has never had a dental. He just turned 2. He has a little bit of tartar but the vet said nothing needed to be done at this time. I always have her check his teeth and she always says they are fine.
