| Oh please don't do that on account of me since I was one of the last posts so you must be referring to me. I just leave your thread and put you on ignore. Goodbye and good luck and best wishes with your dog.

Sorry, It's just hard to read about somebody who is worried sick about their puppy and just asking for advice. I agree, a lot of people tried to help, but when one is worried about their pup sometimes your thinking is a little off. I think she was just worried. She has doctors saying one thing and getting advice from others....all she needed was total support, compassion and understanding. Not mean or sarcastic remarks in any way at all. You wouldn't respond like that to a friend in person would you? If she doesn't reply or take the advice all we should do is support her, not slam her and say mean things. That's what was discouraging to me.

Based upon what little I can derive from her writings, I believe the OP is trying to treat her pup by searching on the internet. For me to support that in any way would be criminal. Perhaps you can offer her some sage advice? Might be a bit more helpful than complaining about what others have offered as advice for this pup.

As for this puppy, my suggestion would be to gather up all of the testing that have been done get a proper diagnosis. These issues have been going on since May and it is now 6 months later without answers. You need to move on from whomever you have been using to get a proper diagnosis for your puppy.

| Just want to wish the best for Mickey. I hope, and it sounds like the new neurologist is on the right track, that you get a definitive diagnosis and that Mickey gets the treatment he needs.

| and as i remember u were one who also believed it was not a liver shunt. that's the reason we went to another neurologist. after all this time wasted on med's for liver, and tests for liver i wonder how he's going to come out of all this. the neurologist thinks there is already nerve damage since during his exam he's now missing some reflexes. i recieved notification from pet plan insurance that they had recevied all his medical records and would start the review of them. the next few days i will be his advicate and call daily until we get a response from them. meantime he didn't tell me how to treat him so i kept him on the prednisone. but don't worry i will let him know this before the spinal tap. again thank you all for listening and not accusing me of being on here to get medical help from u guys instead of a dvm. hopefully we are on the right track the neurologist did tell me the prognosis may be poor. please pray that we can get this done quickly, all i want for christmas is for my baby to get better. |

| Dr Sisson treats gme/nme cases all the time some with great success. His symptoms may disappear as he gets the correct dosages of meds. I posted Dr Sissons info in an earlier post on this thread... don't lose hope...

| Sorry, but I am having a difficult time believing that many vets were THAT far off the mark. You said an MRI was done and that no one suspected anything with the brain...correct? As for your comments about not trying to diagnose and treat online. I did not accuse you of anything. I only read what YOU said...that you saw that Prilosec might work...Heaven only knows for what and you were going to try it. I believe those were your words?? hmmm In my way of thinking, you now have ONE vet who says it may be NE...so why do you believe this vet over the other four? This entire matter is extremely confusing. I don't see how anyone ONLINE could possibly have known what this was. Anyway....I really hope that the suspicion is not correct because I would honestly rather deal with LS. Your pup has been and will remain in my prayers.

| You are a very good mama for not giving up & trying to find all the info you could. I have faith that he will be Ok. He may have a small amt of nerve damage but he can still be fine & live a long happy life. |
