That is what is needed...money. I am not making a profit off of dogs but you are so maybe for the sake of the dogs you love, you can help this one.

Thats not an answer! The rescue isn't going to get the money back they spend on this dog when they adopt it out to another family/person. So why the heck can't they help her while she is with the one person who loves her, knows her and cares about her??

So she doesn't even get the chance to "adopt" her back?

I asked for help (no money involved) from several rescues and all the yorkie rescues and not even one of those yorkie rescues returned my calls or email. I just wanted some help for Mindy, at the time it was either she would have to go into rescue, or at least maybe get some advice what to do and I asked them if they couldn't help to at least reply or call me back and say so. well NONE did.. Neither one of those big yorkie rescues cared enough to just send a reply.

What does that have to do with any of this? You have a dog that needs treatment for a life threatening genetic illness and you cannot treat it yourself you just don't ignore the SCREAMING IN PAIN That is not justification for lack of medical treatment for an animal! I don't understand why you are trying to stir the pot for something that is unarguable? There is never an excuse for animal cruelty and that is exactly what this is/was/alway will be!

The problem is that the rescues are overwhelmed with dogs from breeders like you. You have the audacity to bash rescues when you do this:

When is it time to put a sick animal down? When you know that the animal has no quality of life. When each and every treatment only provides a temporary fix. Most of us tend to put off the enevitable for our own benefit. Our emotions come into play. I also can't help but agreeing with Momma Dog. For the dog to be helped, why does it have to wind up with a different family? My personal feeling is, if you can't afford something, do not buy it. If you can't maintain it, do not buy it

She didn't buy this pup, it was given to her by her roomate, who brought the pup into the world.

This pup has been sick for a long time. Nothing, nothing short of surgery will correct AAI, especially now since time and medical information has proved that there is no other option.

No one is unsympathetic to Randi's medical and financial situations. Life throws us curves. But, this is now a pup's life that is at stake. I for one cannot even phathom how one can listen to a pup scream in pain without screaming yourself and doing what is right by the pup. Even for one day, let alone for a period of time.

As someone stated above. If this was a child, would authorities allow the parents to keep the child in harms way.

These little creatures can't speak for themselves. And by whoever our higher power is, has mandated that we be good stewards for their care.
