| I'd question the vet about the swelling. It just seems strange that he got worse after vet gave him fluids. But then, what do I know. Just a thought. |

| Just spoke to the vet. He said he ran more blood test but, they all came back ok. He said that he wants to run a spec CPL test? He said that will determine if he has the pancreatis or not for sure. Everything else is showing to be ok. He said that they are going to give him fluids under the skin and he wanted to keep him overnight. I asked if I could just take him home and then bring him back in the morning and he laughed and said that would be fine. I just wish they would have been able to find something today. This has been going on since Monday evening. He said sometimes they will just bounce back after about 48 hours of antibiotics and fluids. Let's hope and pray that this will happen. My husband is getting upset because of the cost of it all! To me it doesn't matter what it costs. He is our baby. Thanks for all of your advice and encouragement. I'll continue to keep you posted on how he is doing. |

| The cpl test will tell for sure if it is or is not pancreatitis. Is he still sick? I have not heard you mention symptoms since the original post.

| He has not vomited sence I took him to the vet yesterday. However, they're giving him meds to keep him from vomiting. He is not acting like himself. He will not eat or drink ANYTHING. Acts like he doesn't want it at all! That is not like him either! He acts depressed like he is really sad which is breaking my heart. He is usually very active and is ready to play. |

| Just checking in... I hope that he does well tonight at home with you guys! I have read your previous posts before and I know that you must be terrified of something happening to Bruizer. I will continue my prayers and thoughts for you and him! It is hard when the vet bills come piling in but they are totally worth it in the end!

| He is feeling better! He has ate quite a bit this morning. The vet told me to just give him a tablespoon of the canned food that he had me get every hour for about 24 hours and then start mixing it with his regular food for about 24 hours. He hasn't drank anything yet but, the vet said this morning that could be because of all of the fluids they gave him yesterday. He seems like he is feeling much better! We think he must have caught a virus of some sort. All of the tests that we had ran came back ok so that is great news!! Thanks to everyone that posted advice and encouragement! |

I am glad he is doing much better the vet was correct that the cpli is best test for pancreas as amylase and lipase are also indicators but sometimes those can be off as were with my dog when he was sick his amylase and lipase were normal when feeling better they were off the charts | |
