| Just learned about the danger of cat litter For the last month Reesie was eating way more than normal probably because of her impending heat cycle but I just didn't know she was also snacking on stuff in the cat litter box. She only pooped once all week and that had cat litter in it, so today, after no improvement and no morning appetite or energy I took her in to the vet. This place is great, Wilson of Romeo, Mi, and xrays showed that she was full of cat litter and slightly dehydrated. She hasn't been just laying around or I would've jumped sooner, but I'm glad to know she's in good hands overnight even though it'll be an enema ordeal for her. I'm still worried about her and know that she's a scared little peanut right now. |

| oh, poor Reesie. I hope she is feeling better soon. She must have felt so bloated. I wonder if it will teach her not to eat cat litter. Mine tried it once, so now he isn't allowed in the laundry room. He loved it when I took him down to the laundry room .... now I know why! |

| I hope she'll be ok soon. I guess the litter box will be moving to a new location now, huh?

| I just called the vet and her movements are just water and stuff from the enemas, nothing yet of the cat litter in her so I'm pretty worried. She's in a good hospital so I have that to be happy about. They say she seems happy and wags what little she has of a tail so at least her attitude is good. Maybe she knows they're trying to help her. Next enema was to be at 10pm EST. |

| I hope the next one works. They would have to operate if it doesn't, wouldn't they? There could be a blockage as well, I think, or did they look at that? We're thinking of her and hoping for the best.

| Reesie is home and seems ok! She had two good bowel movements today, lots of cat litter passed out of her and she's on LoRes for several days until her system is back to normal. Funny, she ate like a hog for the vet-tech but won't eat for me! Right now she's napping, the tech told me she was up barking at them all night so they had to move her into the 'quiet' room. Now all I have to do is figure out what is best for her diet that she will eat, and also figure out how to keep her away from the cat litter box. I have to make sure the cat can get to it so a closed laundry room door is out of the question. Nap time for me, too. We didn't sleep all night worrying. |

| I have an idea for your cat litter box. Put it in an xpen. Your cat can jump over and use the box but the dog can't get to it. I caught Davinci coming out of my cat litter box a couple of times. I just sternly fussed at him and he has not been in it since. He's a smart little stinker, LOL. Good luck with your baby. I hope she gets to feeling better soon. |
