| Juicy is hurt. I havent taken Juicy to the groomer since we have moved to Gainesville. So we were waiting until our next visit home which was this past weekend. We take Juicy to Petco, we loved the lady that does it and we will only go to her. Well when we got there they were so busy. I had a really bad feeling in my stomache since one of the dogs on the table were going crazy, but Steven reassured me everything was going to be okay. When she was ready Steven went to pick her up and paid the $60 and left her a $15 tip. Steven said she was so happy when he got there and was all ready to go. Well once they got to my moms we notice Juicy was bleeding from down there. My uncle told me that she was probably in heat and I almost had a heart attack. Juicy is almost 2 years old and I got her fixed befor she was 6 months old I knew that there was no way she was in heat. The I looked underneath her and saw that they had cut her. Steven and I are furious because Juicy is still hurting I'm going to have to take her to the vet because it looks like its getting infected. Steven said that the groomer even had the nerve to say that Juicy was so good and she is the best dog to groom because she just stands there. I am so upset and when I called PETCO they has the nerve to say that she must have cut her self when she left that they are not liable since we left the place and didnt say anything while we were there.

| I happen to have a Yorkie that won't hold still for the groomer, so I do understand that accidents happen.....however, it is the way that this accident was handled that is upsetting to me. Why can't people just admit they have made a mistake and apologize? If this requires a vet visit, they should definitely offer to pay.......I wonder if this lack of personal customer service is a reflection of dealing with a large chain, or if other people have had problems with their 'small business' groomers as well? In any case, I would never go there again...... So sorry you have had this experience......wishing you the best...............

| Sending warm wishes for Juicy and hope she is ok and no infection set's in. I wouldn't let it go that easy. Get a note from the vet, if he will do it for you that says the cut is due to scissors. Present it to the manager and demand a complete refund and find another groomer. Juicy is lucky compared to some other horror stories I've read regarding Petco. I hope you can find another groomer that's honest or learn to groom her yourself. It's not that hard, really. |

| Oh poor little Juicy! That is so upsetting that Petco is taking no responsibility. There are so many horror stories about groomers lately! I Juicy is feeling better really soon.

| Poor Juicy, did you clean the area w/hydrogen peroxide? It doesn't sting. It's a possibility that the groomer didn't notice it. When dogs are picked up, they get so excited to see their owners, their blood boils (figure of speech) & they bleed if they got injured somewhere, like nails & in Juicy's case, the cut. That's horrible that Petco isn't claiming the fault & blaming it on her excitability...cutting herself. Ridiculous! I would have the vet examin her & evaluate how it got cut. If it was clippers, I would take the written evaluation to Petco & complain.

| We are so sorry to hear this... poor Juicy. We are sending her gentle hugs, good thoughts and prayers they she heals quickly. I must admit, I am now petrified to take Zoey to any groomer - EVER. I know that this is not necessarily the norm but there have been far too many accidents mentioned here on YT. I am going to do my homework, reach out to my trainer and maybe even try to tap into any local breeders or individuals that show their dogs... I must learn how to groom Zoey myself because I have no faith in taking her anywhere.

| I do shop at Pet-co but I have heard SOO many horror stories about the groomers there. I just groom my Gizzy at home, I'm not the best at it yet so he doesn't look perfect but no-one loves him the way I do so I don't trust people with scissors around my baby. There are of course many wonderful groomers out there but are often difficult to find. If you can't get your baby to the vet A.S.A.P [recommended] then maybe consider gently cleaning her wound with luke-warm water and very mild cleanser, blot the area dry and apply a small amount of antibiotic ointment. Infections can spread fast and become a much more serious problem before you know it. I'm sorry this happened and it's ridiculous that they can't even admit to their mistake. I wish you and your Juicy the best of luck. |

| Thanks everyone for the advice and warm wishes. I just got back from taking her in and the vet said everything is okay. They gave me some oitment to put on her and said that the injury was from scissors. I will no longer take her there not because they did but because she didnt us the truth. I will start cutting her hair myself hopefully with lots of practice it wont look so bad. Thanks again.

| So glad she is ok, but I definitely would take the vets letter into the store and talk with the manager. |

| She cut herself after you left???? That's nuts! What did she do try to give herself a bikini cut??? Put those razors up ladies...the pups have gone wild! But really...you are smart to take her to the vet...she needs an antibiotic.

| I'm so glad Juicy is ok! I can't believe anyone that cares for dogs will not take responsibility for them! My Jasper isn't ready for the groomer just yet, but in about a month, I'm sure he will be, and if I can't find a groomer that will let me be right over them when they are grooming him, I will learn how to do it myself. I hope she feels better soon!
