| ![]() Tonight I was watching Bella and Rocco play, and in the midst of chasing Bella, Rocco smashed his left side into the door frame to our bedroom. He immediately yelped out in pain, and limped to me ![]()

| ![]() just rest him tonight if he is not shaking, panting, etc then it may be the patella moved out of place - is it the back leg that he is lifting? |

| ![]() I would just let him rest for the night. Keep him warm and kind of watch him. If he were in too much pain he would be crying most of the time. I went through this with Belle when she was little (2.5 pounds) scared the crap out of me. Took her to the vet ASAP and she said to let her rest and keep her warm until the regular vet came in during the morning. These little ones keep us on laert all the time. Belle likes to play with her big "brother" who weighs 85 pounds and she now full grown at almost 7 pounds. I just hate it, but he's really gentle with her, more so then she is with him ![]() |

| ![]() Thank you so much for your replies!! In answer to your question dwerten, it was his left front leg. To be honest what truly worried me was that when i felt along his leg, it just felt so limp; the first thing i thought of was his patella ![]()

| ![]() Similar thing happened when Uni was a baby. Any time she would move in the middle of the night I would get up and see if she needed to pee. I was still half asleep and holding her in one hand, getting my glasses in the other, and I guess I pushed on her bladder, she squirmed and fell out of my hand. She landed on her front right hand and was yelping. I thought I caused her to break her hand. She would hold it up off the floor, but when I touched and massaged it she did not cry out in pain. After a few mins she would gingerly put it down. I was so relieved. but yes, if they are in real pain, they will continually whine or cry out in pain. I think your baby just sprained something, just like my Uni did.

| ![]() Thanks everyone. I felt along both his front legs, and no yelps or whimpers. Just a lot of sloppy kisses, lol. He's limping just a little but otherwise is his normal sweet lil self. Maybe it was just a sprain after all. I'm gonna keep an eye on him tonight, and have the hubby keep an eye on him while I'm out tomorrow. I'm kinda new at this so i guess i'm bound to freak out every once in awhile. But i'm glad i can come here with others who can relate and have good advice. Thanks again!
