| Diarrhea I took Rocky to the Dr. this evening and to my disappointment all they really did is give me a bill and offer test he has already had. A couple of weeks ago he had Distemper shot, before that he had fecal sample, intestinal parasite fecal exam, at that time they said he may have kennel cough, next time they said he mat have parvo , so my husband had the parvo test to put that to rest once in for all. Yesterday he threw up and today he has had diarrhea but I'm afraid they are taking advance of a concern parent. the groomer said give him plain yogurt for the diarrhea. He still plays and eats just find. Last time they told me to give him pedialyte this time they offer fluids for a price of course. i may have made a big mistake buying this insurance it may be a rip off, now I am stuck for a year. My baby has diarrhea we take our shoes off he does not go outside yet ?? Any help I appreciate. We try to watch him closely I don't know what he could have possibly got into because he only out for short periods when we are playing with him and feeding him..I mop several times a day !!! help, help, help Thanks |

| are you going to banfield? what are you feeding? some dogs are lactose intolerant so yogurt can make them have diarrhea so i prefer probiotics over yogurt and organic pumpkin can firm them up may times they have to run fecals a few times as things like giardia are hard to detect and may take a few fecals to find it |

| How old is Rocky? A lot of times Banfield gives too many vax maybe that is why he is sick? Once I took Uni there, she had diahrrea, they took a stool sample test I forget which one, it came back negative, but they still gave her a shot for what it was they tested for. I don't trust them, they always over vax. When Uni has diahrrea her NEW wondeful vet prescribed diarsynal (sp?) paste, works like magic. Hope your baby is going to be ok.

| Oh also want to say switching food too quick can cause diahrrea too.

| Rocky is twelve weeks this week. He isn't due a shot until next week. No change of foods just all of a sudden. They gave me a long list of test they could take. About $140 + I said I'll see how he does. I'm already paying for medical with them. I bought it without thoroughly researching but I need to take him for shots My daughter seem to think he ate a piece of newspaper. I don't know we are very watchful when we take him out of his kennel for a little play time. This morning he still has diarrhea. |

they are horrible please dont take ur dog there anymore; they tend to overvaccinate and overmedicate; i almost lost my dog because of them.

I would call around pet stores, ask everyone you see with a dog who their vet is and check around and you can google rate your vet and see if there is one rated in your area. | |

| Yes, the vet prescribed it for Uni. I paid about $12 for it at the humane society. Oh and forgot to say that it is for the intestinal lining, to stop her bloody diahhrea. Don't know if he has blood yet, but if there is that's not good and he needs to go to the vet right away.

| Hey they sell it at entirelypets!!! Love that site! So I guess no it is NOT prescription only. I thought it was bc I got it at the vet. And it's cheaper online! Diarsanyl Nutritional Paste I keep some around just in case, like if Uni eats something wierd, and isn't sick/lethargic, but i want her soft poop to stop asap I use this. Squeeze a bit on your finger, open the mouth and scrape onto roof of mouth, and done. Easy!
