i dedicated all my prayers to this little baby!!! |
I just caught up and am so glad she's doing better - RE your BT - holy cow - that's quite the story too - I loved that you posted her photo with her new blankets - what a little dollbaby and she really IS a trooper....and Patti - that was SO outstanding of you ! Keeping those prayers coming...and am hoping you never see one sign of infection - I know that's a big fear too. The vet sounds like he's right on top of everything and you can't ask for more than that with a doctor. I'm so glad he's thinking of her best interests and not jumping in to traumatize her further. That poor baby - I still can't believe how awful those burns are.... |
Chloe... Hello everyone - just want to say thanks for your continued support, guidance, suggestions and prayers. I read the thread a couple times a day. Yorkie owners are the best!! Chloe goes to vet again tomorrow. She is improving daily and is starting to play with her toys this week. Still don't know what the future holds as far as surgery, etc. I see her mom everyday at work, so Chloe is always the first and last topic of discussion :-) Will see Chloe this weekend and the progress myself. I see now why people love Yorkies so much (cutest dogs in the world!), almost got one myself before deciding to get the 3rd BT. Think Yorkies are too delicate for my BT's. My dogs are wild childs. Again, thank you so much! Hopefully Chloe has and will continue to prevent this from happening to other furbabies. There are many others on this to bring it to the forefront now. Sincerely, Pat (owned by 3 BT's) and Chloe's Friend |
How's little Chloe doing? I've been wondering about her. So sickening that such a senseless thing had to happen to that precious girl. I hope she's recovering nicely.:) |
Chole is in our prayers. Keep us all informed of her progress. |
I'm just horrified by what this poor baby suffered. My thoughts and prayers are with him. |
Hello and Chloe... This is one amazing little girl! She is healing wonderfully without surgery. The vet is amazed...her visits are now down to once a week. I see Chloe's mom everyday and she said even the deep long wound has almost healed closed. I am in awe...from seeing Chloe at the beginning (the pic does does not capture the severity of this burn) and where she is now 4-5 wks later. It was thought she would require a skin graft...and thanks to all your Yorkie prayers and the Silva Cream, God is bringing her thru. Chloe's story is far from over - I truly believe she is but one of many, that will make a difference and prevent this from happening to our "kids". Whether it be via Mfgs of these dryers or holding groomers more accountable and more oversight. God Bless All Of You - Yorkies sure own a great bunch of people! Sincerely Pat (owned by 3 Boston Terrors) and Chloe's Friend |
Yay Chloe, hearing this really made me happy Hi Pat, thank you for keeping us all updated on Chloe's progress, WONDERFUL NEWS HEARING SHE IS PROGRESSING WELL IN HEALING. Thank God for all the answered prayers for Chloe and for Silver Sulpha Cream, it is marvelous in healing. Is the cream still being used on her? Chloe and her Mom are lucky to have you close by as their friend, Bless you for all you have done for them. I sure hope the Groomer is doing his part in being responsable to pay those vet bills Our continued healing prayers for Chloe, From us both, Patti and Jack |

Chloe... I'll see her this weekend and get a pic. If it warms up in FL here...might suggest a quick trip/trail walk to the park with Chloe and my youngest BT. |
I might have read right over it, but is the groomer going to pay for all of the horrible damage that he did to this poor pup? I think you should also get some kind of compensation for pain and suffering as well, this is just horrible! I can't believe how torn up her little belly looked... but I'm so glad to hear that she's doing better! |
Glad shes doing well...NOW, it was warmer here in FL, so where's that pic at of Chloe:p Hugs |
So wonderful that she won't need a skin graft. Bless her little heart. She should never have had to go through any of this. It's great to hear she's doing better.:) |
I have just read through this thread and OMG I am in total shock that this happened in the 1st place!!! How much pain must lil Chloe have gone through with all of this? It's terrible, but I am very pleased and relieved that she is slowly recovering! I'm sending some kisses for a very brave and beautiful girl! xxxxxxxxxx |
Chloe... Didn't see Chloe this weekend, but told Mom it's a must I get pics this weekend. Chloe still has one really raw area under front leg..but rest is healing well and some hairs are sprouting through. Re: groomer paying bills...he has paid 1/2 reluctantly thus far. The day the groomer saw Chloe, he said "I will pay whatever and do whatever over and above". His tune changed, still doesn't believe he did it. What he obviously does not understand, the costs could have been ten-fold. The vet has even quit charging for Chloe's followup visits. And the groomer had the audacity to say "he shouldn't charge, he's not doing anything!" Was hoping the groomer didn't pay, so I could go to small claims court with Mom and put the pics in front of Judge. As many have said, lucky for him, it was not my dog. Myself, I will be visiting vet next week with 2 of my 3 terrors...and will fill him in on what the groomer is really saying. Thanks again to everyone! It's not over for this groomer, when it's all settled and done...the internet is a powerful tool. The truth is the truth and pics don't lie. |
I'm glad Chloe is doing better. And yes, tell Chloe's mom that the super nosey people of YT want pics in exchange for even more prayers. :p |
:-D Chloe.. Yes, I will tell Chloe's mom tomorrow at work - more pics are a must this weekend! I went to 1st obedience class Mon with my youngest BT (the one who likes to swim with the gators and snakes) and and a Yorkie about the size of a nylabone came in. He shook for the 1st 1/2 hr, owner said she would probably leave as he was so afraid of bigger dogs, but after that - the yorkie owned the place...was barking and had the other 11 dogs in line - even the pits and great dane, too cute! He was barking at my BT's hind legs to get out of his way! |

Thank you for keeping us posted on Chloe. It is so good to hear that she continues to improve without surgery. Healing Prayers continue from the Great White North of Canada. |
This makes me really really angry and is the exact reason I do all Bailey's grooming myself. I'm so sorry this baby has to go through this!!!! I don't have advice to give but I will keep this baby in my prayers! xxxxxxx |
There is a wonderful ointment called Silvasorb. It can be applied and covered with a bandage or left uncovered. It is quite expensive, but the results are miraculous. It is a colloidal silver ointment and it kills bacteria and heals wounds in 1/2 the time. Will not hurt them if they lick it (they shouldn't but we all know it sometimes happens). I have used this on humans and dogs, birds.........it is amazing! Now my vet uses it too. Good luck and good wishes for the little one. K. |
justclikke- Chloe's mum has been using that ointment! :) |
Oh. My. Goodness! I just sat here and read this entire thread. What a TERRIBLE thing to happen to ANYONE! I felt positively sick when I clicked on that picture! I'm glad to hear that Chloe is healing so well, but she obviously should never have been hurt in the first place. I rarely take my Cricket to the groomer. I usually groom her and Zaccheus myself. But about once a year, I treat myself to a professional grooming for Cricket. I have never heard of cage dryers, and will check with my groomer to see if they have them. I would love to see an updated picture of Chloe and her injuries. |
Chloe - haven't forgotten pics.... 1st) - Saw Chloe Tues - and was totally, totally amazed at the healing - would not have believed if I hadn't seen myself. 2nd) Took my "new camera" and 37 pics later....did not get one good pic...wasn't all me/or the camera - Chloe was so sparky...didn't sit still for 5 secs in the hour I was there trying to get her precious pics :-) Got lots of pics of the carpet, furniture, tables. Might have been the treats I had in my pocket? Was so overjoyed with her healing (altho she's quite scarred), but some of the hair is growing back - what I was most overjoyed about is she is back to her normal self. I promise, promise, promise - will have pics posted this weekend. |

What wonderful news! Chloe and her Mom have been such troopers through all this and you have been a wonderful friend and support for them. We continue to send Healing Yorkie Prayers for Chloe. |
It's wonderful Chloe is feeling so good again. Bless her sweet little heart. No little one should ever have something like that happen. It makes me so angry every time I think about it and this isn't the first time I've read of this happening. |
Im soooo glad that she is doing well...cant wait to see pictures of her :) |
