So glad to hear Chloe is doing better. |
I am so glad to hear that she is doing well! That poor lil girl. She went through a lot. Now that she is doing well I agree we need pictures.;) |
I haven't been on YT for a while and don't always post on everything I read, but this is completely outrageous that something like this could have happened in the first place. It is obviously human error in not checking the dog's frequently to prevent such an occurrence as this from happening in the first place. Had the groomer failed to have kept his word to make good on paying for Chloe's care, not only would I have considered small claims court, but I would have gone to the media with this. I guarantee him seeing this on tv would cause him to sing a different tune. Plus, I'm sure his business would be affected by other pet owners being afraid to use his services for fear their dog might also come home seriously burned. Unfortunately, money is the guiding and motivating factor for most businesses. Not the love of the animal first and foremost. I wish Chloe to continue to heal as quickly as she has so far with no setbacks. For the seriousness of her burns, her recovery has been amazing. |
Chloe Pics Finally.... Sorry friends, it's been a very trying week...but this afternoon me and my youngest BT (gator swimmer, GiGi) met with Chloe and her mom and had a nice walk. A great play date. Enclosed are some recent pics and some of those when Chloe was first burned - you can see the miracle that occurred. I am so amazed...Chloe is back to normal and so enjoyed her walk with GiGi - last time they met....Chloe was apprehensive and shy. However, today, because of all she has been thru ...she isn't afraid of anyone, anything, any dog :-) |
Chloe Pics- Try Again 4 Attachment(s) Chloe had just met GiGi and was a bit excited. Last pic is of GiGi after her playdate - totally tucker out! |
More Chloe Pics... 1 Attachment(s) OK, think I've got it now - These are pics of Chloe's injuries/burns before and the same area today. Pic doesn't really show the scar...but the hair growth is miraculous |

Happy for Chole!! |
I just now found this thread and I am sick to my stomach like everyone else. I have never heard of a cage dryer before and never even knew they did this at groomers. I just assumed he was hand dried. The last time I picked up Zeus from the groomers he had these red marks on his belly. I asked the groomer about it and he said he had no idea what they were or what caused them. Not I am wondering if a cage dryer was used and it got to warm for him. I know now thanks to this thread to ask about this on my next visit. Thanks for the info! I am glad to see Chloe is healing. Zeus sends her get well kisses.:animal-pa |
Wow, Chloe is looking just great now! What a brave little doggy! I'm so pleased that she's made such wonderful progress healing! xxx |

Little Chloe looks great. Thank you for taking the time to post the pics. I'm sure you don't have a lot of free time. It's so nice to see her healing. I hope the scars eventually almost disappear. |
What an amazing recovery! Her Momma must have taken such good care of her! Thanks for posting an update. |
Thank you for sharing the pictures of Chloe's recovery, Pat. What a testament to the strength of these little Yorkies!! Of course without all the wonderful and devoted care of her Mommy and an excellent vet, things could have been very different. Chloe is definitely a little miracle. Gigi looks like such a little doll baby. We are hoping to continue to hear about the adventures of Gigi and her fur sibs. Hugs to Chloe and her Mom and to you and the BT's. |
SO happy and grateful Chloe is doing well , and healed up so nicely. Personally , I have 40% severe burns on myself... Thinking of such a small dog getting burned the way I had makes my heart break. I saw the wounds and knew they were the worse type. As soon as the skin is black it means all the layers are burned . I did not want to post this , because it is personal , and to see a sweet, innocent yorkie go through what I have been through really saddened me. Their is nothing more painful then a burn , so I know dear Chloe is a fighter . Everyone who took care of her had to know excatly what to do for her , and to prevent the infection which i s truely what is the most scariest out of burns this severe. SHe looks absolutely amazing now . Her burn scars will take at least a yr to heal completely , she is through the rougheset part though , and a sweet little miracle . Chloe and I have something in common , love to meet her someday . It thrills me to know that she pulled through and will be ok. |
I just saw your before and after pics all I can saw is.....:eek::eek: The after pic.'s are just amazing!!!.....I am so happy for Cloe!.......Looking at the before pic. who would have thought she would be healed today!!! |
I'm so glad she's doing better, and amazed by how much better it looks:) Hooray!! |
Thank You! 4 Attachment(s) Thanks again to everyone!! Without your Yorkie Prayers and support...I truly believe Chloe would not be with us today, I mean that! Have nothing new to add, other than Chloe is still healing more and more, one day at a time. Someone said it may take a year to fully heal and I believe that from seeing what has transpired the last 2 months! Chloe's mom is concerned she needs grooming (mainly nails clipped) I said...who cares! I will come over with my nail clippers (that's not always a good thing, ask my terrors!..but haven't cut them yet)...and I will give it a try. My terrorists are the loves of my life - after a full day at work, can't wait to open the door and be met with wet sloppy kisses. Will leave you with pics of a "Real Waterdog" and hopefully a smile. (GiGi's Adventures, need to start a book with this girl, if it can be done or will be done...she will find a way to do it!) Thanks Again Pat Mom to 3 Boston Terrorists AND Chloe's Friend |

Hi Pat, thankful to hear the wonderful news and progress that Chloe has made, thanks to her Mom and wonderful friend.....YOU, along with all those praying for Chloe's healing. GiGi glad to hear you are keeping within your boundry ;-) those pictures are really something of you in the sprinklers. Pat, we're so glad to read your postings and updates on Chloe, and to hear about your precious fur loves too. We're so happy you found this wonderful site. Hugs from us both, Patti and Jack and girls. |
dog You know how busy these pet store groomers are. It is easy to bathe the dog and shove them in a cage and turn a hot dryer on them. I would NEVER take my dog and drop them off and trust a groomer to groom them. I have the groomer come to my home. You can find one if you look around. So what if you pay a bit more. Your dogs are safe because you are right there supervising. Please do not trust your dog when you drop them off. You never know what is going on. They hit em with a hairbrush and can treat them cruel. A hot dryer is torture to these precious dogs! |
