I am so happy the news sounds so positive with Livi. Tammy please dont beat yourself up over something anyone could have missed. I am clueless about breeding but am sure that could have easily happened to someone who has been doing it for years. You and Geoff had a lot going on helping Livi bring those precious babies into the world. It you both hadn't done such a great job it could have easily been a different outcome for each of the puppies. Big hugs to you, smooches to momma Livi and the puppies.

| Thank goodness you're such an attentive mommy! I'm sending lots of prayers that Livi gets better soon and that caring for the pups goes a little easier for you.

I went through the same thing with my Chattie, only her episode was 2 weeks PRIOR to delivering 3 healthy pups. With the aid of Cal-Sorb she was able to nurse the pups until she weaned them naturally between 6 and 8 weeks. | |

I understand why some vets are against giving POP shots....and their reasons are very valid. In the hands of inexperienced breeders they can cause more harm than good and should in those cases be administered by a vet completing a thorough examination.

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Tammy I have found using a premie nipple and bottle works the best for feeding pups. You can adjust the flow of the hole if needed. I have even used just a newborn nipple as well. |

| I'm far from a breeder but I can understand how this can happen. Between all the excitment, stress and exhustion who can think? You did everything that you were suppose to do, your a great mommy. I am so happy she's coming home later today. Enjoy your new family and their mommy. Hugs, |

| Thanks again...to everyone!! I am dying to call the vet again, but she did say that they would call me sometime this afternoon....but boy is it tough to not call them every 5 minutes. I am one that my knees get to shaking when they take my fur kids from me and take them to the back where I can't see them so this is killing me! I miss seeing her little sweet face right now...I know, I know...she will be home later today (as long as things go well today), but I still miss her BADLY!!! I forgot to ask her earlier how they would handle the retained placenta now...oxy shot?? How long will that take? I wonder if she will be able to nurse her puppies or since she did have calcium problems (regardless of the trigger). I need to do what someone suggested...write down all of my questions because my head is hurtign so bad right now and my eyes are red and blurry. I will update when I know more. |

| Tammy, I'm so sorry Livi isn't feeling well. Thank goodness that you rushed her right in and that were able to find the problem. She's be home in your arms soon! Now, cry all you need to so that you'll be strong for her when she gets home. {hugs}

| Tammy you are being a wonderful mommy to your Livi. We have our thoughts and prayers with you and your family. I don't have advice just support. Livi is a tough girl and you already know that If you have to tube feed the puppies I am sure the vet will show you exactly how. Mine showed me and it was not too bad, just scarry the first few times. |
