Thank you so much. It worked instantly!!! Yippee. Now I can sleep knowing he won't be in pain and antibiotics are in him. LIFESAVER. Yes, I am so tired and I was frustrated. Now everyone is back to a nice relaxed state. Saved me from yet another sleepless night. xoxo

Bonbon, thanks for keeping up with Ted's adventure. He's doing well other than refusing to eat his prescription food. Not too active, but I think it may be the pain med making him feel icky. Have to go to the store and buy some baby weenies and see if he'll eat some of those (doc said). Have a great day. xoxo

Not sure what food they have him on, but sometimes to encourage them to eat, I sprinkle a bit of parmesan cheese on the food....and also warm it a bit if it has been refrigerated.

Pups supposedly don't have taste buds...but react to smells.

Thank you, Lady Jane. He ate it fine yesterday; but it was warm in the can and then I refrigerated. I will try warm it up and put some parmsean on there. Glad you are all here to help with Ted's recovery. I'll try that now. xoxo

If you are having an issue with Ted taking his pills~cheese works for my 3 like a charm. Once a month they get their HW meds hidden inside some. The predisone has a bitter aftertaste but dairy will hide the aftertaste so cream cheese it the perfect way to hide the pill. Even if you had it in liquid form it still tastes horrible.

Whenever I have had to give other meds to just one they all line up for their share so everyone will get a little bit whether they are getting a pill or not

I'm so glad that Ted is doing so well.

Ted's onto the cheese. smart little man. Got the pills in him last night with tuna and again this morning. but he won't eat; so now he feels yucky, I think. Hoping he'll eat this afternoon if he's hungry enough. thanx for all your suggestions.

Poor Ted. I am quite sure he does feel yucky for sure. I think you are right...he will eat when he gets hungry enough. Is he drinking water? Just make sure he stays hydrated!

I meant to say CREAM CHEESE! If you put his pills inside cream cheese it works well. Boy talk about leaving out an entire word.

I am so glad the tuna worked. Of course, sometimes something may work for a little bit and then they catch on to that

. For some reason I think the smell of the tuna helps to mask.

I am not sure how long you have to administer meds, so I would keep a few other things as others have suggested on hand - just in case he 'catches on'.

Hoping every hour of every day gets better and better for little Ted

Hi, Everyone. Ted is doing pretty good. He's a little mopey at times, but still getting antibiotics and 1/4 pain pill; so maybe makes him feel yucky. Still haven't had to guts to look in his mouth and see where the stiches are. Been on a few short walks...had some ice cream and baby gerber beef weenies. He's not fond of the prescription diet food; so I made some rice and shredded up some chicken which he loved. His nose sounds perfectly clear at rest a little snorty when he's on the move. Check up on the 10th. Thanks everyone for keeping him in your thoughts. He needs a bath, but don't want to risk getting ears or anything wet and cold. xoxo
