| Second Premolar of the Maxilla is LOOSE What can I do? hello everyone, I am so worried. I have a 3 year old yorkie and his second premolar of the maxilla is loose. I tried to pull it out but it will not come out. I have called various vets in Miami and got an estimate at about $800.00. I really can not afford this bill right now. Do you guys have any suggestions in what I should do? Thanks, Rafaela and Toto |

| Give him things to chew, play lots of tug of war with him. If it is loose it will come out

| He got a cleaning in april and he has a loose tooth ? did the vet not do xrays to check for bone loss in that area ? seems odd it is loose now after a cleaning as mine had theirs cleaned and any teeth with issues come out and we see a dentist - have you called the vet to find out were these a prob on xrays when getting dental? |

I went today to the vet to get Toto checked up for his tooth problem, and it seems like the tooth that was moving was still a baby tooth, and thats why it was moving and finally fell at the vet's office. The vet told me that in yorkies and poms and other small dogs can have their baby teeth up to 4 years. So I guess this was in my case too. I saw the tooth and had no roots, it looked like his other baby teeth, so I am gladly to say that I have calmed down and there is no more an emergency. The vet gave Toto some clindamycin for 3 days and said that everything will be fine. Toto is not hurting at all, and he has a great appetite for food and also play. Thank you again for everybody's help. Rafaela Nita | |
