| I am so sorry this happened! It's absolutely horrifying! My thoughts are with you and your family during this tragic time. As far as the television news crew, they will want tons of visual aids. Anything to help tell the story. Offer up any visual aids you have. They may want some and not want others, but it's important to give them as much as they can take. It also makes for a much more dramatic story. Make sure to not answer with just a yes or no. You want to elaborate. Don't worry about babbling. They'll direct you as far as where they want your answers to go. As long as the reporter isn't new, he/she should be able to get everything necessary to create a compelling story. If you think he/she is lacking or not asking the right questions, you can help guide the interview as well. They may even want to do a reenactment of sorts. Like make the camera "walk" where you walked the day it happened. Don't be afraid to show emotion. I know it probably couldn't be helped anyway. If I were interviewed about it so soon, I would be bawling uncontrollably. Oh, and try not to make any rash statements like, "I wish the owner of the dog was dead." I'm not saying you would, but statements like that said in great emotion don't help the story, and the reporter may put that in there because he/she may see it as a "juicy twist." I hope you get a kind, thoughtful reporter. I hope all goes well with the interview, and please keep us updated!

| If nothing else gets through besides the anguish of your pain and loss, stress the lack of action of the authorities. Make sure that the public hears that the police and animal control have done NOTHING to address this matter. That is what is most important. Shame them into acting.

Yes. Definitely. This is how it applies to more than one family. For the most part, people love dogs and this will not only pull on heartstrings, but outrage people that nothing is being done. Because this is something that could happen to anyone, and the laws need to change.

| Minnie's story aired tonight on local news. It is the news in El Paso as this happened at my parents house here in El Paso. Here is a link to the story: Family Upset After Dog Is Killed | KTSM.com | El Paso · Las Cruces · Juarez That's me doing most of the talking. I think they did a great job on emphasizing how upset that nothing is being done. A lot of great pictures of Minnie and Minnie with the family are included. Also my little Abbey Lee makes some appearances. Thank God for her safety. Minnie, you are not forgotten and now many people know of the pain you suffered. We will not forget. Also-I am in contact with a lawyer and we are currently working on a very strong case against the neighbors. A family friend who has a relative on the police force informed them of what happened. Two police officers came to our home tonight and finally filed a report. They have also promised to obtain the animal control report and to obtain the name of the officer who is handling out case to see what he is doing about it. They also plan to contact the neighbors. We are making progress!!

| Yes, they did do a great job on this story! Hooray for the news! You also did a great job in telling your story. I cannot believe that they told you that the only thing you could have done was shoot the dog. I hope that NOW they will be forced to take some kind of action! Good for you...I am so glad you are following through on this. Again, I am so very sorry for the pain you are going through. Rest in peace sweet Minnie.

With this Minnie will actually be able to rest-in-peace.... blessings to you all...

| You did a wonderful job w/the news reporter! I shared your story with my DH and my daughter. They both were very upset with the lack of help the authorized and the neighbors gave you. We are not the type of people to sue, but in this situation you should go after everyone you can. We were all very happy to see you reached out to the news to get the public on Minnie's side. I'll share the link to your story to my family and friends as well and ask that it get passed on. Do you know the address to the local PD? We could all send letters of anger to the chief for their lack of compassion to you all. Have you called the local District Attorney's Office to see what they can prosecute them for. I'd call them next as they are your prosecutors and would know the laws that have been broken. Let us know and I'll happily send a letter as well.

| It's amazing how things start to happen on the side of the Police when the news media shows up huh? It's sad that in society it takes having to do this to get things done! I'm glad you are pursueing this. You did a wonderful job explaining your story . The part where they compared killing a yorkie to "breaking a table" tore my heart apart. Let us know if your Yorkie Talk family can help you in any way. We're here for you!
