| Please help !!! My yorkie is throwing up feces. Is there anybody on this forum right now that may know what this problem is ????she threw up some type of feces with a little foam mixed in.it was without a doubt feces because it looked and smelled the part. I looked at her gums and they are rather white. We have no emergency vet in our area and i am extremely worried about her. I will be waiting for any type of reply !!!!!!!! |

Sounds to me like she may have eaten it...and is now throwing it up. Has she been eating and drinking ok? I would be more concerned about the white gums...I don't know what this could be..I wish I could help you. Hopefully somebody here will be able to help you...I hope everything turns out alright for her. keep us posted Brenda

| I forgot to address the white gums -- they can be a sign of shock, loss of blood, anemia, dehydration, severe illness, among other things. That is usually the first thing the vet tells you to check when you think you have an emergency and that alone is enough to bring in a Yorkie as they are so small they can take a bad turn quickly. Here is a Pet 911 emergency vet locator: Pets 911 - Find local animal hospitals and emergency animal clinics Maybe that will help you find someone. I just noticed she signed off -- hope she found somewhere to take her Yorkie!

| I agree. I would be looking for an emergancy clinic. These little ones can dyhatrate so fast. One of ours was on IV's last week. She had been drinking alot and I had no idea she was that sick except she was not eating. Thank goodness we took her in when we did. Hope your little one is okay. Things can go down real fast. |

| Fecal Vomiting Fecal Vomiting is caused from an obstruction in the lower intestines. This dog needs to see the vet ASAP! |

| I agree. It sounds as if it may be a bowel obstruction. Hope the little one is ok.

| Pancreatitis can also cause this, as can giardia in the upper GI tract.....

| I was thinking the same thing...intestinal blockage. This is a similar symptom even in humans with a blockage...I can hardly stand to imagine it (ack!) Did the OP say if her Yorkie was a puppy? They are notorious for ingesting the contents of stuffed toys after gutting them. Hope we hear from the OP soon with an update on her -baby!
