| I'm so happy I found this site. I was beside myself when I first posted. I didn't think I could live with the guilt I felt. It is getting a tiny bit better. I realized I'm not alone. So many of us have had losses. These little dogs are so fragile. We did get a new pup. She is the ugliest Yorkie I have ever seen, but my husband is already crazy about her. He needed a little girl to love. I |

I am really sorry about your little girl. It sounds like she was pretty special. For some people, getting a new dog ASAP is a good thing, for others a longer grieving period is needed. When we lost a lttle dog about 5 years ago, my hubby and I grieved a LONG time. Our vet told us the best thing for us would be to get another puppy.... but we didn't, and felt miserable for months....... and finally we got Shelby. The vet was right....... we should have gotten her sooner (probably right away). It doesn't "replace" the dog that died..... but I think dog lovers have so much to give and and why waste days?.... there is a dog out there that needs LOVE from a family!!!! Sounds like it was just what your hubby needed. Can't wait to see pics of the new addition.

| It is up to you and your family how soon to let another "furbie" into our lives. Harley died the week before we started fostering Zeke. DJ and Zack met the morning DJ died. They touched noses as if to "pass the baton" in the vet's paking lot and the wife knew that we would be adopting Zack (aka Clyde). We will always cherish the time and memories of Harley, DJ and Annie's time with us and how special they were. Zack and Zeke are not replacing them but a new start. |

| I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers go out to you and your family. Getting another one will be so helpful, I think, in the healing process. I, too, lost my baby last February (not the same circumstances) and now that I found a new one, it does my heart good. And it may sound a little nutsy, but there are times when I look at my Bailey and can feel my poor lost baby is with me. Good luck to you.....Teresa

| I just had my demi dental done yesterday and due to gum disease at 4 1/2 she had to have almost all her teeth removed by a board certified dentist and they usually try to save the teeth but hers were so bad as i did not do dental due to fear of anesthesia. I strongly recommend going to board certified dentist for these procedures as that is all they do. |

| I am so so sorry. I can't even imagine how you are feeling. I remember being so nervous when Lucy had to be fixed. She needs to get a dental done but I have been putting it off for this reason. Ella needs to be fixed soon and I am not looking forward to it...
