| Cruiser is back on the farm now. My husband took him this afternoon. He said that the breeder was really great and promised to fatten him up and take really good care of him. He's fully convinced that this was the right decision. He said the other puppies just mobbed him when he got there. He was surrounded by little wiggly puppies. So I think he'll have a good time. He loves other dogs. And she said that if Cruiser gets better we can have him back. I know it's long shot but I can't help hoping that the doctors are wrong and that some day he can come home. We'll always be his family and even if he can never come home, he'll be in our hearts forever. She also said that we could have another puppy soon. She'll make sure he's all ready to come home with all his shots and neutered and bile acid tested. Our anniversary is September 24 so maybe we'll be ready for a puppy then... We'll just see how we feel. No one will ever replace Cruiser but I'm sure there's enough love to go around for another little dude too. And if Cruiser can come home someday, he'll love having another puppy at home to play with everyday. Okay, well, I have to quit crying now so I have to wrap this up. I've cried pretty much nonstop since Friday afternoon. My eyes are exhausted and I have a lump in my throat and a pain in my chest. |

| I want to be clear that we didn't make this decision because of money. After hearing the surgeon describe the possible complications in great detail was too much. We couldn't put our guy through such a risky surgery. |
