| Do we have poop yet? If she were a horse I'd tell you to load her on a trailer -- that is a sure fire way to get a horse to poop I can't think of an equivilant for a dog. |

Nothing yet, though. I refuse to put it in the microwave. The aroma alone would do me in. But, HOT POO!!, man. That's hard to imagine. Blech!! I think I will just use the baggie idea. It makes the most sense. Repugnant as it is..... It takes a LOT OF LOVE to do this poo thing, eh? Last edited by sammiz; 06-26-2008 at 08:34 PM. | |

| Me too. Today she is not eating. Anything at all. I tried chicken breast alone...which she normally loves. She will not eat a treat. Nothing. So I gave her some more pumpkin. I had to thin it out and put it in a dropper and give it to her like medicine. She is so good. Although she didn't want it, she let me do it anyway. I called the vet's office and am waiting on a return call. However, the vet that started her initial treatment on this (whom I like very much) has just gone on a three week vacation. Now we have to go with someone else in the office. Please, Lord, I pray that she doesn't have to have surgery. I am so very distressed. The only 'normal' energy she is displaying is barking loudly and and enthuastically when the doorbell rings. Please ask Jesus for healing for my Sassy. _______________________________________ |

| Tricksie had chewed up a ball of string and he gave her the flavored vaseline to make her poop but she vomited it up.

| Thank you all so much! I talked to the vet's office. The other vet is now going on vacation.... They are usually open on Saturdays but not this Saturday as he is leaving also. He said all he would do is prescribe her amforal and give her nutrical. Other than that he would refer me to the emergency animal clinic in Visalia? This amazes me. I have both amforal and nutrical but I am going to wait on the pumpkin to work again. I got her to eat some chicken by melting a bit of cheese over it. I know, I know....cheese isn't ideal for this situation, but I am hoping that the pumpkin will offset that. At least she ate something. If she hasn't gone by this evening, I guess I will try some of the suggestions here. I don't want to go so drastic if I can get her to go on her own. Now that she has eaten, that may be a possibility. ?? Again, thank you all so much for being here with me through this trauma. I helps. Hugs. _____________________________________ |
