It is wonderful that you got to have Tink for a little while. I am sure she was glad to be in your arms and in your own home. It sounds like she enjoyed her visit as much as you did. Glad you got to walk. It sounds like you are both on the road to recovery. I pray that the pain in you will vanish and that Tink will be able to walk again. Hopefully, soon you will both be back to normal.

So glad to hear that you got to spend some time with your baby girl! I'm sure that does wonders for both of you.

I can't imagine how hard things are for you right know. Just know that there are lots of hands (and paws) out here pullin' for you!:)

It's been a few days since the last update. How are you doing Susie? Any change for the better? Sounds like Tink's upper body is getting stronger. That's great news.

Just had to stop in and see how you two are doing. Know that you are in my prayers daily. I still have faith that all will be good with you both real soon...waiting for that miracle to happen. Winston sends his love to sweet little Tink...and yes, kisses too!!!

Update on Susie and Tink
 

I had a lovely conversation with Susie this afternoon. She is still having difficulty with her back, and unable to sit long enough to post. Friends bring her food, and she has a wonderful support group.

Guess who was sitting with her? Yes, Miss Tinkerbelle. Barb brought Tink over to spend the afternoon with her Momma. Susie said Tink is no longer on any medication, no seizures, responding to Susie and she barked three times as we were talking. She heard sounds outside, and her bark was strong. Each day brings added mobility and Susie said she is a bit different, but recognizes things, so her long and short term memory is still intact. Tink scoots around and in time her back legs will strengthen.

Susie wants everyone to know that she is sorry that she cannot post, but I told her we all understood.

Thanks for the update. I am so pleased to hear that Tink is doing so well. The thought of her barking and loving her mommy makes me smile. Please give Susie my love and let her know the prayers will continue for for both of them.

Thank you for the update Deborah. It brings happy tears to my eyes to know that Tink continues to recover and Susie is getting stronger, too. We're still sending prayers and we check this thread every single day!!!!

Thank you Deborah for the update. How wonderful Susie and her Tink
spent the afternoon together. Tink sure is a little fighter and hopefully
she'll be good as new in time. I keep both of them in my thoughts daily.

Any new news?

Hi! I miss everyone sooo much. I can't stay long 'cause the pain is too intense. I'm going back to hospital tomorrow for more pain management. I think I'm better, but the therapists don't and have convinced the surgeon and my primary doctor to try to get me more help. I hope it works.

Tink is doing very well! I wanted to let everyone know that she moved her tail and her left foot in water therapy yesterday! The therapist saw her move her little tail stub and so was watching to see if her leg would move. It didn't but her foot did which he says is just as good as if the leg had moved. I'm so happy!:) I talked with te head of the therapy dept there and she said that Tink is an amazing little dog. Every task she gives her to do she works at so hard until she gets it and then looks around for something else to do.:D Sounds like my old Tink. When I had her the other day, she just kept trying to move - she never stopped except when she was sleeping.

She is eating normally and Barb has her back on kibble again. I guess I don't care as long as she is eating and getting the nutrition she needs. I just want her to be as healthy as we can make her.

I have to stop now. But here's a not very good picture of Tink in her frog nightie sleeping on the floor by my walker. She wanted to be close by me and didn't want to go in her crate, so I just let her lay on the floor. She was fine - I was a little worried about laying her there but she just slept.

Please keep up the prayers everyone. I'm very thankful for all of you. I won't be able to post or call for a few days but I'll post as soon as I can.

Oh I am so sorry your pain is so strong tonight. Hopefully your physical therapist can help you tomorrow. The picture of Tink is soo sweet in her little frog nightie. Bless her heart....she is a little trooper with her physical therapy. Hoping you both just keep improving with each therapy session! I hope you are able to get some sleep tonight. NightNight.

Hi Suzie - I'm sorry your pain continues, but it is good that you are going back to the doctor to see what else might help. Tink is definitely an amazing dog and you are an amazing person also. I have no doubt that both Tink and you will fully recover!!!!!! Still sending prayers and adding hugs!!!!!!

Soooo very great to hear from you. Very sad you are in intense pain, God is healer, he will minimize your pain & one day you will wake up and realize your pain is gone, we will continue to pray for you. So happy Tink is such a strong willed lil gal! God bless her!

Susie, so glad that we got to hear a little from you. The picture of Tink is just so precious. You must be sooo proud of her. It is so great to hear that her little tail and foot moved a little. That brings so much hope. Susie, being in pain just isn\'t any good. I hope the doc\'s can figure out what do do. It\'s been proven that pain slows healing.
