Pray all is going well with your exam and mid terms.. Just checking in on you and Cosmo keep your head up.. |
Hope you and Cosmo are doing ok today. Sending hugs. Sehilagh |
as if it couldn't get any worse..don't you HATE it when the professor says one thing will be on the exam..then turns around and its something TOTALLY different!! anyway, my brother says he sees an improvement in cosmos head tilt..I don't?? but maybe thats cause i'm not around him as much as he is. I plan on taking him to the vet again on Monday, just to be sure things are going in the direction they should be. as for me..i'm going to the doctor today :( I hate doctors, i'm just glad midterms are almost over..I can't handle much more |
I hope big brother is right and Cosmo is getting better every day. As for you, young lady, you best not be coming down with anything. Sounds like a pinched nerve - sciatic, maybe. Do what the Dr. tells you, ok? And, yes, Professors can be little buggers when they want to. They just want to see if you really paid attention in class;) . Not to worry, I know you'll get good grades. Update us asap. |

how is Cosmo doing? How about you? Did either of you get to the doctor? |
Cosmo and I went to the dr today! sorry if this update makes no sense i'm very tired typing this.. He has been having some sudden pain like out of nowhere..even if nobody touches him he will yelp in pain. The vet is going to do xrays of different angles on his neck and head. Hes on pain meds now and the ones hes been taking for the vestibular. Other than all that he is fine..he doesn't have his episodes anymore..thank god thats over with. I may take him up to cornell this week while i have off from classes. I plan on calling tomarrow for more information on this. as for me..i have a pinched nerve in my left leg..the pain is unbearable at times..but im hanging in there! i can only handle for one of us to be sick at a time lol |
thanks for the update - praying that Cosmo's pain can be uncovered - poor baby. I'm sorry to hear about your pinched nerve. Are you on spring break? Hope you can find some time to rest & relax |
Sorry my little buddy is still having problems. I wonder if he could have a pinched nerve. And I sure hope you got something for your pain. You may have to see a chiropractor for it if it doesn't go away. I hope you both are able to get some rest. Hang in there, Monkette;) , and let me know if you do go to Cornell. |
I am following this thread and was anxioiusly waiting for an update. I hope all is well with you and Cosmo! |
Hey everyone, sorry I haven't had a chance to update things have just been so busy from dr. to vet to dr. Theres really nothing new to say...his neck still bothers him...hes back to his old personality:) ...he gained the weight he had lost and then some!...we've been waiting it out like the vet said to..but my brother is going to call him tomorrow and ask for a referral to Cornell, cause we don't want to put this off any longer it doesn't seem like its going to go away by itself. |
Thank you for the update hon.. I was hoping to hear something from you.. I can feel your pain in your leg.. I am still suffering from the pinched nerve in my back.. I say to my self everyday I wake up with this boy if this is what Babybear was going through with a pinched nerve or his neck being out of alignment I surely wish I would have done more sooner.. Yikes it hurts.. Now I know why they cry out in pain.. Please keep me posted on how things are going.. Hope your leg gets better soon.. Sending hugs your way.. Give Cosmo and gentle belly rub for me.. |

new york vet specialist info... I am not familiar with "Cornell"... I did a search for New York Vet Specialists and found this link: http://www.nyc-vs.com/about/ and also these two: http://www.downtownpet.com/nyc_anima...ecialists.html http://www.vetspecialist.com/ At this point if the Vet you are currently seeing will not refer you to where you choose to go then I would DEMAND it. We had to with one of our girls. Our vet wanted to run test after test and instead of racking the bills up with all of that. We told her that we wanted to see a specialist. One visit with the specialist and he had things under control. It was the best 120.00 we have spent to date. Our reg vet bills were way out of control. Nearing 4500.00 in only 6 mos. Had we seen the specialist a long time ago we would have saved a lot of money. So don't let the word Specialist make you think high dollar. They are specialists for a reason and you will save in the long run. I hope Cosmo does get to see a specialist if anything for piece of mind. A lot of regular vets are not familiar with the more complicated issues. Not sure how far away Cornell is for you or these other places. I just did a google search for New York Vet Specialists and a lot of info came back. Wishing you the best and will wait for any updates. Hugs to you and Cosmo!! |
