Sweety please don't go. We all want you to stay. Please stay and keep us updated on little Cosmo. I know i have been doing nothing but thinking of you and him since i have been gone i have been wondering everyday how you two where doing. Just please take a break but don't leave.

So glad to hear he's doing better. Remember that in a forum, communication is extremely difficult. Sometimes things are misunderstood, and sometimes things are misspoken. Please don't leave because of that. People are still so interested in Cosmo's recovery!

I think there was just concern because you hadn't been back on to update. No one knew whether Cosmo was improving and/or if you had been to a neurologist. No need to run off. We are all concerned. It sounds like your plate is really overloaded.

Not sure I would make the decision to care for so many pets at your age & try to juggle school. How hard this must be for you. But please don't consider YT a negative - you have had a lot of support here and you did come here looking for support & suggestions on this thread. I think some of us found it hard to understand when you didn't seem to follow the suggestions that were given you.

They said he had a stroke and his head may always be like that...its not that I don't love or want the best for him! These dogs are my life! to read something like that just crushes me to pieces!!

Oh sweety that must have been hell for you to hear i am so sorry :( If he had a stroke then the doc is right he may always be like that. My baby Chiquita had a stroke when she was abbout 13 and she always had the head shake and tilt right up until she left me when she was 15. But she led a good life after teh stroke other than the head tilt and shake you would have never known anything had happened to her. I am praying that this is the same for Cosmo and that he goes on to live a good fufilled life with just his own little glitch :) I know you love him so much and this is so hard for you but just know that you are doing what you feel is best for your baby. I persoanlly think you are doing a outstanding job:thumbup: You have my support 100% girl.


p.s Just remember what you saved him from yes that is right no one else but you saved him because of the actions you took.

Ok, I have dealt with a dog that has had a stroke. What I would recommend, when your schedule allows is to find a veterinary acupuncturist - this saved my dog's life, until a few more yrs passed & he had a very severe stroke. Well the first one was severe - he was paralyzed on one side - but with 2 acupuncture treatments he started wobbly walking & with subsequent treatments he improved greatly - even could run.

So did Cosmo see a neurologist? Is that who said he had a stroke?

I have the same problem in one yorkie's site of France last year too and since then I don't post any news of my yorks in which my Lela brought home after 12 Jan 08 has never been mentionned in order not to have any unpleasant comments. The worst of my part is being a Chinese who can manage only the French on the general level so that I can't even make excellent replies to shut them up or fight back, I only felt helpless and isolated. Surely, there are some very understable but I can't cope with those unkind, I only enter that site once a while for the experiences and knowledges of taking care of yorkies. Once one is harrassed, one is tranmatised. However, many of us read the stories of Cosmo under your love and care, many of us fully stand on your side and are eager to listen to you any time in future. Just feel free whenever you feel better and find free time.

cosmo is fully functional, no wobbles, the only thing wrong is the tilt and i can live with that im just glad we still have him

It's OBVIOUS that you love him and want the best for him. That's evident by your sticking it out here sorting through so much advice. I hope that Cosmo's worst residual effect from his stroke is an adorable head tilt.

I know it may have hurt but we are all here for the Love of our Dogs.
I know for a Fact that she meant well with that post It was with Love for yorkies. I hope you can see it that way..

If all he has is a tilt then he is better than my Chiquita she had a bit of a shake to and she did just fine until she passed on of old age. You are a wonderful mommy who is doing a wonderful job. Just enjoy that gift from god and know that he is here because of you.

There are so many wonderful people here on YT that will support you all the way just don't let some mistaken comments make you leave us because believe it or not if you ever think you need us well that may be from time to time but we also need you. Everyone here needs everyone else esp. during this tough times the amount of support you can get is just amazing :)

Marcellacml is doing the best she can. what is the point of telling her she should rehome her dog? Cosmo is taken care of. She brought him to the vet a few times and he has been diagnosed. I think its ridiculous that some people are harping on her for not doing what YOU would do in that situation. Everyone is different.

MRI's, neurologists, specialists, and/or surgery is extremely expensive. Where i live an MRI is at least $1500 and then the visit to the neurologist plus surgery is at least $6000. Not many people can come up with $7500 + in such a short period of time. Care credit is not going to help much, they probably won't even cover half, and that's even IF she is approved. There is only so much one person can do.

I'm sorry, but i think Maureen and Lori's comments were rude and unnecessary.

well maybe she and anyone else who agrees with her should take into consideration that unless your in MY shoes you has no idea of what my hour to hour life is like, im at school every weekday all day doing homework on weekends as if that isnt enough i have other personal issues im going through as well as the unbearable pain im having in my back and leg cause of my slipped disc. i'm not even able to schedule an appointment for myself to go get help at the dr because there is just not enough day time hours for me to do anything for myself. every single spare second that im home i spend watching over cosmo he is ALWAYS by my side from the minute i walk in the door he comes running to me. for someone to come and tell me to give up my dog,someone who doesnt even know me, that makes me feel unbelievably horrible inside, like a punch to the stomach. you will never know unless your in my position and i pray you, i pray not even my worst enemy has to go through it.

THIS DOG IS MY LIFE!!!

I may be over stepping it here but i have talked to Marcellacml since Cosmo was stuck in that so called vet hospital and i know what she has went through with him. I know what care she has given him and everything she has done to make sure he was going to be okay and i have to say i agree with kalina82's post 100%. She has done what she and her vet thinks is best for her baby. That is what any of us would do what we think is best. Yeah we may not all have the same opinion on what that is but to each his own and we should be praising her for what she has done not slamming her for what we think she should do.
