I sent a PM to you just a little bit ago. Just some suggestions of questions to ask your vet. Joy |
I am so glad you have a vet that is so concerned about your baby, he sounds like he really knows what he is doing. I think he will take very good care of your baby and he will be back to normal soon. I have not had any experience with any of these problems so I can't offer any advise but I can offer support and prayers. I know there is so many people on here that has had similar or the same problem. I just got done watching Baby Bears videos and pictures on dogster and I cried  my eyes out, my heart broke for her and Baby Bear, but at the same time it made me feel good that there are people out there that would stick by an animal through good and bad, and not just keep them as long as they are healthy and then when something like that happens to them they just turn their back and give up on the poor thing. I really admire all of you on here that have stuck by your furbabies when the hard time arise. God will do only what is best, lots of love and prayers will help you get through this... Take Care, keep us posted.. |
Sounds like you have found a wonderful caring vet for your little one. Wishing your baby a speedy recovery. Hugs,:hearts-en |

Ok, it's really easy to send a PM - private message. There are 2 ways you can do this. One is that at the top of the page on the right-hand side, where it says "Welcome with your user name" right below that it says in dark blue "Private Messages" - click on those words & it will open a new window where you can send a private message to another member. You do need to know the user's name & you have to put in a subject. The other way to PM someone is to be on a thread like this one & just click on the user name of the person you want to PM, a little box will open & one of the options you can choose there is to send that person a private message, click on that & it opens up a new message with the user name already filled in. You're in my prayers. Peace, love & hugs to you! Prayers for Bleu to have a good day |

Sorry I just got home from work.. I am going to go to Babybear's email now and read you email.... Now not to down your vet, but next time you talk to him ask him how many AAI/AAS pups he has delt with... Some say they have experiance but have only treated one or two pups with this... This is a congenital defect that goes undiagnosed because no vet knows how to all the symptoms of it.... Heck can I say I have taught my vet about it.lol Sounds funny but it is true... Keep Bleu quite is the best thing I can tell you and to tell you the truth he should not be in any pain.. That vet should have medicated him well enough that he is not feeling any pain... Babybear was on pain meds for 14 days after surgery and he was weined off them... He never showed signs of pain... Now remember pups/dogs have different ways of showing pain.. One is check his pupils.. If his pupils are dilated or he is panting alot he is in pain.. A pup will only whine so long then they stop... As a matter of fact the only time Babybear crys now is if his 90 pound brother steps on him by accident.. I am going to run now and read that email.. I have to cook supper and get that done really quick.. But I will be emailing you back.... I will copy and past Babybear's story to you in the email so please be looking for that.. I will respond to you in just a bit.. I am so hear for you... Sending you a cyber hug((((HUG)))) I know you need it... Keep your chin up though we will make sure you baby does just fine... |
Thank you Val :) |
Val? I tried to message you but your box is full!:) Hugs, Joy |
I hope little Blue will do fine and be out of pain soon. my heart breaks for you as I know how devastating it is to have these little babies so sick. |
New News On Bleus Situation As of 3:30 today I gave him another 1/4 of metacam. I called first vetnarian and asked for money back and that is NOT THEIR POLICY (COUGH COUGH) I called my breeder. She was extremely understanding and stated they would absorb any costs or I could bring Bleu back and I told her that was out of the question. NO NO NO Since we got him in October I have emailed them professional pictures Bleu had made and have kept her up to date on all his tricks and commands. They did not want to sell me Bleu they wanted to keep him for a stud... Her heart broke when I told her and I am blessed they are so understanding. She stated she would be contacting all the pups in this litter and informing them of Bleus condition . She also stated she was pulling the mom and dad from breeding anymore and would sell them for pets . I regret this for her and definitely for us. One thing I have learned is preserving the YORKSHIRE TERRIER BREED! If there is a defect NEUTER/SPAY. Bleu will be neutered before long depending on his surgery. If they can do both surgeries at once and it not be too hard on Bleu I would love to get it over with ... If not we are taking this one day at a time. Bleu was bought for a pet but we were going to let him stud out to get us a female.. I WOULD NOT WISH WHAT BLEU IS GOING THROUGH UPON ANYONE!!SO THE BUCK(STUD) STOPS HERE! HE WILL ALWAYS BE MY BABY BLEU BOY BARBER! |
