| Long but Please help........ Not really sure what information I need to give to make sure I am covering every possible answer but I am getting worried at this point and could really use some help. I am not a big poster on here and its not that I do not care but I am shy thinking so many can give so much more advice than I can. My little man will be a year old in March and he has been the healthiest and happiest baby. Tonight though I am so concerned, but also thought because I have not had any problems maybe I just need some good-ole advice or help and not to panic so I come to the ones that I know could help. Last night about 2:30am Peanut woke up (he sleeps with me) started heaving or gagging as if he was trying to throw up so I jumped up and grabbed him (I think I scarred him) and we both got on the floor and he continued. He through up and the crazy part after that was he tried to eat it! I grabbed him and washed his mouth then cleaned it up. I took him to get some water. We went back to bed he seemed fine so I figured he just had an upset tummy. So sorry this is so long........ Well today was the first day back to school (33 just now finishing my degree!) so I put him in his room (his kennel is my spare bedroom) Well when I came home he was curled up on his bed, which he is usually clawing at the door to come out, picks his head up and then just turns over with all his paws tucked. I looked around the room and I see spots all over the carpet where I can see he threw up. His eyes looked so sad. I picked him up, got a warm washcloth, and cleaned his mouth and fur. He seems to have pepped up at little. I got him to drink water and I gave him small pieces of cheese (his favorite). Now my daughter he loves so he was still following her around but nothing like he usually is. Now I do need to add one more thing I was worried he some how eaten something that upset his tummy because about 4 days ago I saw little red like dots in his stool but it looked like a plastic bead. So I had a long talk with my daughter about leaving things around he may get but that is what bothers me because that was 4 days ago. Please any advice and yes I will take him to his Vet no questions asked but to get through the night is there something I am missing or need to do? Thank you in advance for an advice or know what is wrong with him. Oh, his weight is 6lb (last time we weighed 10/07). |

| God i am really sorry you are going through this. It might be something he ate, but who knows, as you said only the vet can really help out. Please let us know what he says. I hope everything turns out fine for your baby

| If he is throwing up to much you may want to try to give him pedialite instead of water so he gets the nutrients he needs. Someone may have an idea of what to feed for an upset stomach...??? I hope he gets to feeling better very soon. Let us know what the vet says

| Poor baby!! He sounds so sad. I don't have any real advice for you. It does sound like he got into something he shouldn't have. But I will send a little prayer your way for you tonight and tomorrow when you can get to the vet.

| I pray that Peanut will be well soon. Yorkies do have GI upsets from time to time. My vet recommends feeding plain canned pumpkin to straighten things out. It has always worked for me...even the time when Ziggy was a baby and he ate carpet fiber. I know its hard but try not to worry. I would take him to the vet just to be sure he's all right. Please keep us posted.

| When Kalani was younger he ate part of a thick plastic mat and had the same problem your little one is having. The vet gave him some anti-nausea meds and said as long as he was eating and pooping to just keep an eye on him. Things seemed to calm down but almost 2 weeks later he started having problems again so I took him back to the vet for x-rays and blood tests. They couldn't find a blockage but gave me more meds and the next day he threw up and pooped a whole bunch of plastic - he was fine after that though I continued the meds just to help his insides heal. Praying your little one is able to pass whatever he ingested real soon as I know how difficult it is on their little bodies. Oh, another thing that helped was making sure Kalani had small frequent meals as this helped his tummy from getting too acidic.

| You really need to take him to the vet!!! They should x-ray to see if there is something in the digestive tract ... They can also do a blood test to see if there is a different lead to check. Throw up was just green/yellow stuff? |

| Update............ for Peanut! First let me THANK all who sent prayers and advice it meant a LOT! The update is GOOD (thought I would get that out of the way) Last night when we went to bed he still seems sad or maybe weak but I did go get some pedilite like suggested (Thanks sooooooo much) and he did get some of that down. I woke up a few times to look over at him and every time my head went up, his little ears and head went up. It was somewhat funny as if he was saying, “Would you sleep women!” This morning I get my daughter up and he is following her around knowing she is about to dart out the door for school, telling me he may be feeling better. I get him to drink some more Pedilite and eat some of his food. I called the vet and he was busy so I left a message. Well he called me back I told him what was happening but he has not thrown up all night and so far so good this morning. He told me I was welcome to bring him in but if he is eating and drinking that is a GOOD sign but also to watch his bowls that if he did not go by his normal time to bring him in even if he did not throw up again. So I have been on poop watch all morning ......... lol. As its pretty easy cause, I can get the little booger to pee outside but NOT poop! Well he went and yes, I studied it ..... a little soft but looked good. I called the vet he told me it did sound like he may have eaten something that upset his tummy. He said if by Friday, he was not back to his full self to bring him in for an X-ray but he feels he is going to be okay! Whew........ for now, I am content. Once again THANK YOU ALL for your support and kind words! |

| Thanks for the GOOD update. Guess we don't have to tell you to still keep an eye on him, huh?
