| We've had Toby for 3 weeks now and he's 9 weeks old, he doesn't do well with a pee pad. He misses and I dont think he actually gets that its there for that, he puts all his toys on it instead lol. He much rather go outside and will scratch at the door to let us know that he needs to. |

| We travel by airplane a lot and it is very convenient on long flights to just take her into the handicap stall, put her paper down and tell he'd to potty, then dispose of the paper wherever people are throwing away the diapers. Works great. On overseas flights she will potty on the plane in the restroom, too.

| Wallee is trained to go outdoors and pad trained. I would love to get rid of the pads altogether but as so many said, it is great to have them first thing in the morning when the weather is bad. I tried getting rid of them by moving them to the door when he was around a year old but he just kept going back to the spot where they used to be and using the carpet. Even with repeated treatment of enzymes, he wouldn't give up that spot. He will ask to go out most of the time, however I find that when he gets a drink, he immediately runs to the pad and pees or when he is playing in the house, he will use it. He always asks to go outside to poo which is great. I had a lady here with a chi puppy who said her dog is completely outdoor trained. Her breeder told her that if she started using pads she would always be a slave to pee pads. I have never taken Wallee to anyone else's house to see how he would behave I guess mostly cause I worry that he is used to having the pads available and might pee in someone's house. I do notice that if we go out, he doesn't seem to use them though. He just sleeps and when we come in the door he runs to the back door for me to let him out. hmmm...so I have very mixed emotions about his use of the pads. They are great in bad weather or when it is still so dark out in the mornings ( we often have skunks visiting our yard) but the rest of the time, it would be nice if he just went outside. |

| I plan on training for both. Same for a lot of other ppl. I will take them outside when able. On washable T. Bumpkins pads when not able.

| My 9 yr old rescue will only go outside,Is there something I can put on the pee pad that will encourage her to try it. It would be great for the bad weather. My other Yorkie would use both the pad & go out but I had her from a puppy. |

| Her own urine , if you can sop up some with a paper towel then dab it on the pee pad. She will smell it and go there. |

| Anybody have this going on? When anyone walks in the door Zoey is so happy she just is full of wiggles and squirts urine everywhere. Oh my ... I've been trying the ignore routine which is very hard , and sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Or how do you say "no" to the little thing so happy to see you? She will be still in her pen but the minute you decide to let her out...bam. And hubby just doesn't have the heart to ignore and he gets it everytime. What to do....have also just opened the door and invite her out and get Bammed there....lol mercy. Other wards she does well on pads and outdoors, with an accident on throw rug once in a while, I leave down too long from tricks.....human error. |

| When Pao was a pup, we were living in a condo like 40 storeys up so we peepad trained him then we moved to a house and outside train him. He is 90% good now but still has that 10% that he will make a mistake especially when we are sleeping. According to our trainer, once you peepad train a pup, it is very hard to move to 100% outside training. Oh well..we have bellybands for the nights.
