No offense, but this sounds like if the female WAS papered, you WOULD breed them. Did you read any info on the breed? Do you know about common health issues? Potential emergencies, etc....Responsible dog owners read anything and everything about the breed they are going to own. BEFORE getting the dog.
You sound like you want to be a backyard breeder. Maybe not intentionally, maybe so, but either way you would be damaging a beautiful breed if you do breed an unhealthy animal. Don't do it. Go get them both fixed immediatly!!

Do you realize that your dog should be treated just as you would treat a HUMAN baby. If you had a kid would you skimp on his/her health care as well? Puppies/dogs are just furry four legged babies, and should be treated with the same love and respect you would a human child. If you can't afford the dogs health care, please, please, PLEASE find him/her a home w/ someone who can.

No, if no experience in doing it and if you havent' had them tested genetically. I'm just saying a lot of breeders do do this if they have good lines. The father that she has has medical problems and shouldn't even be used for breeding period

I agre 100% this is all i was getting at. She also has no money for even a check up there is no way she would be able to pay for all the test's or even just a c section if it was needed.

She has an attitude problem. With no brain filter, she DOES before she thinks it seems. I'm sorry I get so mad when I hear about stuff like this. When a person just wants to do something without thinking about what they are REALLY doing in the end. I feel so sorry for families that get puppies from people like this, they have no idea what they are getting into.

First off I am a retired Vet. Assisstant with over 30 years of experience. I am in no way judging you. I want to tell you the plain facts! Your male shouldn't be bred again now that you know about the Hip Dysplasia and Luxated Patellas. Secondly, Do not breed your female she will carry the faults that her sire had. The only reason to breed your dogs would be for the betterment of the Breed. Since your male has serious faults and your female will carry them and is not registered, There is no reason to breed them!! You do not want to put more puppies @ risk and more families in unfortunate situations where they may not be able to pay for the corrective surgery, you may need to in the future for your male. Start saving a little each week now for "Just in Case" he does need surgery! When I worked @ the Vet we gave shots @ 6,9,and 12 weeks for Distemper and Rabies @ 6 months. If the dog was of a small breed we did the shots in 1/2 doses and sometimes waited until they were a year old to spay/neuter them and gave them 1/2 their Rabies shots. A stool check for your pup will prob. be around $10.00 But, Could save his life. Worms can weaken and kill puppies and older dogs in a few days time. Look for Vaccine Clinics in your area. We just had 1 in Labanon, Pa. and the shots were $10.00 per shot. I took both my Yorkie and Papillion for their shots. They said that now that they have my name on the list, they will send me a yearly reminder when the Clinic is. It is held @ PetSmart. I also took my male Yorkie to Arkansas and had him Neutered,Baby Teeth Pulled,Bloodwork and they found a growth on 1 Testicle. He was given Pain meds before he left and 6 days worth of Pain Meds for @ home as well as 14 days worth of Antibiotics for his surgery to heal right and for the growth removal. It cost $235.00 as compared to $500.00 plus here in Pa. I made the appt. a week in advance and am thrilled @ the grat care he was given... I know that you love and care for your dogs, But, You want to do everything possible to kep them healthy and it does mean sticking to a schedule. Parvo is running rampant again and your baby NEEDS to be protected! Please take your little one to the VET ASAP and start her shots. Talk to your Vet about $$ concerns and he may have a solution to help you. I wish you many Happy and Healthy Years with both your dogs...Hugs, IMO...

i did take her to the vet yesterday and got her her very first seor her set of shots. she goes back in june for her second set. now i didn't know this but my vet does a complemtary dewormer it didn't cost me a penny. Idont know if she had worms but i havent seen any in her stool. I know my male does need surgery but not as of right now he doesn't. My vet said that his knees do need to be fixed but its not a do or die thing right now. I shouldn't have bread him but at that time i didn't know it could be carried from pup to pup. She weighs 4lbs as of right now. And im up to any advice as if i should wait until she is a yr or younger to get her spayed.

its not my attitude im scared an have no idea what to do. i shouldn't have bread him that was my fault. and no no no i have had no plan whatsoever to breed my female with her father. I heard that can do some serious medical damage. I didn't do before i was thinking. I didn't see dollar signs with this i saw another little puppy cause he is getting so old.

I would get her spayed as soon as they will spay her, which here is around 5-6 mos. You can check with your animal shelter, I know ours sells vouchers for $60 which pays for the spaying

i hate to say it but it just seems that you are in WAY over your head. If your male needs to have surgery one day, you need to be prepared. As for breeding I think you are over it. I hope so. If you are that is a good thing. Just concentrate on the two you have and make sure they are in the best health they can be.
I would ask your vet when you should have your girl spayed. I would think since she is so small right now that they would want to wait until she is a little larger. I don't think it hurts to wait. Our youngest (male) is 5 months and haven't really even talked about it yet.

Most vets won't spay them until 5-6 mos. and 4 lbs is more than big enough to spay. I've always had all of mine done by 5-6 mos except the little one I have now, as she hasn't hit the 3 lb mark(although, I will still get her spayed before long even if she doesn't hit 3 lbs). My other dogs have been right around 3-4 lbs when spayed, with no problems

my male is 5 almost 6 and she weight 4.1 and the vet said that that was a healthy weight. I think my vet will spay her at 6 months. Cause dont females go into heat every 6 months? My male weighs 9lbs but they said to neuter him they have to do a blood test on him cause of his age to check his kidneys and stuff.

Females don't always go in to heat at 6 mos. my 11 mos old one is small and she hasn't even had her first heat yet.
