| ![]() He has had his lines tested, and that's why he breeds the mother to son, there are NO faults. But, if there are faults then yes, you do not breed them. |

| ![]() And, no, the father should NOT have been bred if he has medical problems. He should have been neutered. I'm not trying to be mean, but, this is why so many innocent little pups have so many problems. Because breeders are NOT doing their homework, and they're not having their dogs tested. A lot of breeders see $ in their eyes, and are breeding without any concerns as to what's going to happen to these poor pups. Just like our golden retrriever, she's almost 4, and for the last year, she has had the worse case of hip dysplasia the vet has ever seen in such a young dog. My son bought her from a breeder, who of course, could only see $ signs, and now that this dog is our dog, she has cost us a lot of money, right under $2000, and that was just by putting her on meds and taking her in for shots, etc. Who is sufferering? The dog and us, and it's all because of a greedy breeder that put 2 dogs together that both had to have had hip dysplasia to have caused this to be so bad! |

| ![]() This is actually really sad what you have done. You did someone a favor by letting your dog father puppies knowing that the father has medical issues. I feel bad for the families that bought the other two puppies from your males litter. ![]()

| ![]() I was just curious. Did the breeder have the tails docked? And are you saying your puppy has Never seen a Vet, even for docking? Did she do it her self? Just wondering.

| ![]() Hi Silkygirl21, First off I am a retired Vet. Assisstant with over 30 years of experience. I am in no way judging you. I want to tell you the plain facts! Your male shouldn't be bred again now that you know about the Hip Dysplasia and Luxated Patellas. Secondly, Do not breed your female she will carry the faults that her sire had. The only reason to breed your dogs would be for the betterment of the Breed. Since your male has serious faults and your female will carry them and is not registered, There is no reason to breed them!! You do not want to put more puppies @ risk and more families in unfortunate situations where they may not be able to pay for the corrective surgery, you may need to in the future for your male. Start saving a little each week now for "Just in Case" he does need surgery! When I worked @ the Vet we gave shots @ 6,9,and 12 weeks for Distemper and Rabies @ 6 months. If the dog was of a small breed we did the shots in 1/2 doses and sometimes waited until they were a year old to spay/neuter them and gave them 1/2 their Rabies shots. A stool check for your pup will prob. be around $10.00 But, Could save his life. Worms can weaken and kill puppies and older dogs in a few days time. Look for Vaccine Clinics in your area. We just had 1 in Labanon, Pa. and the shots were $10.00 per shot. I took both my Yorkie and Papillion for their shots. They said that now that they have my name on the list, they will send me a yearly reminder when the Clinic is. It is held @ PetSmart. I also took my male Yorkie to Arkansas and had him Neutered,Baby Teeth Pulled,Bloodwork and they found a growth on 1 Testicle. He was given Pain meds before he left and 6 days worth of Pain Meds for @ home as well as 14 days worth of Antibiotics for his surgery to heal right and for the growth removal. It cost $235.00 as compared to $500.00 plus here in Pa. I made the appt. a week in advance and am thrilled @ the grat care he was given... I know that you love and care for your dogs, But, You want to do everything possible to kep them healthy and it does mean sticking to a schedule. Parvo is running rampant again and your baby NEEDS to be protected! Please take your little one to the VET ASAP and start her shots. Talk to your Vet about $$ concerns and he may have a solution to help you. I wish you many Happy and Healthy Years with both your dogs...Hugs, ![]() ![]() ![]()
