| Minnie has a carseat and I bought it before I got her. Its been proven that accidents happen closest to home so even when I go to pick granddaughter up from school Minnie goes in her carseat. I would never allow my grandkids to not be in there car seat and bucketed up so why would I ever allow Minnie to not be in her's. Carol and Minnie |

| Gus is mostly always in his dog carrier. It has a strap on the back so that you can use it as a car seat as well as a carrier. He loves his carrier. The only time I don't put him in his carrier is when we are just going to pick the kids up from school or some place close where I know we wont have to get out of the car. I am sometimes a crazy driver and have slammed on the brakes and Gus would have gone flying if he was not in his carrier. When the whole family goes on a trip and all seats are full, Gus's carrier gets attached to the middle net basket located between the 2 front seats which is a perfact fit.

| I have a carseat for Twinkie, but I don't always use it. It's such a pain to always be putting it in and taking it out whenever I have someone sitting in the passenger seat. When I'm not using it, she sits on the passenger seat on her blanket with the seat warmer on or on the passengers lap. I could never drive with her in my lap, it's hard enough to be on the phone and shift my car at the same time, I couldn't imagine a little doggie getting in the way!

| For those of you that don't want to use the car seat, you can just buckle the seat belt and use the strap. It gives them more freedom to move around the seat but if you are in an accident they won't go flying. Really the car seat just lifts them up to see better, the strap is what is important. You can buy them seperately.

| I have been thinking about it alot lately....Gracie rides with me in the drivers seat...and I know that is SO dangerous especially if something happens....I am thinking about getting something for her...Alot of times if we are in the car for long periods of time I will put her in her kennel

| Starsky likes to sit in my left arm. I know this is dangerous. We don't go places to often, just to Petsmart maybe once a month. I really would like a car seat for him. He won't sit anywhere else, so I know it will take some getting used to. For all of you who have carseats, can you post which ones you are using. I just seen that one pic.

| On the way back from Santa Barbara last week I barely missed being in an horrific accident where the traffic ahead in my lane came to a stop. I had trouble stopping at the rate of speed I was travelling but when I did stop I looked in my rear view mirror and saw the car behind me braking hard...smoke coming off the tires and I had to swerve into the carpool lane to avoid him hitting me. Luckily the car going by me in the car pool lane also moved left to let me in!!! It would have been very bad had he hit me and I was so glad Ava was in the carseat. I have had her in the carrier and braked hard and had her fly onto the floor board in the carrier. She wasn't hurt but I have learned my lesson. |

| Mine have never been in the car w/o being strapped into a car seat. I love them like I love my skinbabies and I want to protect them as well I have friends who ride down the road with their windows open and their puppies hanging their heads out of the windows. That totally freaks me out. When I'm in the carpool line, I will open my windows, but my Yorkies are still strapped into their car seat AND I'm holding onto the strap so they won't jump out! I know - that's overboard

| I got it @ Petsmart. It was $19.99. Its made by Outward Hound. I actually have the seat raised up higher than the one in the picture so he can easily see out the window.

| Okay...I am totally ashamed after reading all of your posts. My 2 girls sit on my lap, and I can use my cell phone and shift too! Can you believe it? I am totally soooo ashamed! You guys are so right....I wouldn't let my grandkids or myself go without one, so why would I do that to my precious girls, especially with the airbags in the front. Next time I am in Petsmart, I am getting one of those. My bad. |
