Gus is mostly always in his dog carrier. It has a strap on the back so that you can use it as a car seat as well as a carrier. He loves his carrier. The only time I don't put him in his carrier is when we are just going to pick the kids up from school or some place close where I know we wont have to get out of the car. I am sometimes a crazy driver and have slammed on the brakes and Gus would have gone flying if he was not in his carrier. When the whole family goes on a trip and all seats are full, Gus's carrier gets attached to the middle net basket located between the 2 front seats which is a perfact fit.
