| YT 500 Club Member | Actually we didn't have her sleep there. We stayed at a non pet friendly hotel last Memorial Day weekend for my daughter's wedding, and we took Sophie to a pet hotel. However, we had not checked out when we went to get her, and she had poop on her head!!! We sneaked her past the front desk and upstairs where we gave her a bath before we checked out.

LOL..Cute, We'll i have snuck him into stores when I travel in the summer. I put him in the dog stroller and cover it. Can't tell if its a dog stroller or a baby stroller. But as long as they are in the stroller I don't see why it matters anyways. Its better than leaving them in the hot car!! Which shouldn't be done for even a minute.. | |

| When hubby and & took a road trip to Myrtle Beach in 2007, we stopped for the night at a Days Inn (which are usually pet friendly). This was a small hotel with exterior rooms only. I stayed in the car while he registered and wouldn't you know there was a sign in the lobby that said "no pets", but we were tired and didn't know if other exits would have pet friendly hotels nearby. We were in a room in the back, far down. We took the girls in in their carrier - so it looked just like another suitecase. The only problem with my girls in a hotel room is they bark with every noise they hear - all night long. We were able to shush them quickly and I think the only reason we were okay is because there was no one staying in a room adjacent to us!!!!

| Oh yes, I have at least 5 times. At the last motel on the last day getting ready to leave, after packing up the car, I took Deiter for a walk before we took off, well guess what the manager seen me with him and came up to me and said did you leave him in your car while you was staying here. I said to him do I have stupid on my forehead. lol no I didn't he was with me the whole time. So then he said how did you keep him quite and get him in and out. So I said we walked in and out to go potty, and when I went somewhere he went with me. He said then oh ok I guess it is alittle to late to kick you out isn't...............lol I said yes sir it is beings I am leaving now.

| We did once. We didn't want to, but it was when first of all, we only had Max, who's pretty quiet. Now that we have Madison, who loves to bark at everything, I think we never would have been able to pull it off. My MIL had died and the funeral was a long ways from us and when we tried to make reservations at the dog friendly places in that town, everything was booked up b/c of some event going on. So we ended up having to sneak Max into a non dog friendly place (which was also a place that my dh stayed VERY often for business ). Our room was on the second floor and I had to go up and down the stairs to take Max out and dh would meet me in the back of the hotel when we were going anywhere. The worst part of it was, that whenever I went out the exit door where the stairs were, the door automatically locked behind me, so I'd have to call my dh when we got back so he could let us in. It was kind of a hassle and sort of stressful b/c we were afraid Max would bark and we'd get thrown out, but we got thru the whole adventure without being found out. I wouldn't do it again unless it was an emergency like this time was. And we usually pay $100 non refundable pet deposit where we stay (dh says "for that much money, he can poop anywhere he wants" ).

| Well seeing that I work in a hotel. I see alot of people "sneaking" their dogs in. I say "sneaking" because they dont think that the people at the front desk can seem them when they sneak their little doggies through the side doors, but that dosent really work well when you have cameras at the side doors and the front desk can see everything! LOL. Our hotel is pet friendly and I love seeing all the different dogs that come through especially the yorkies. We do charge a fee, but thats because not all dogs are good and not all owners are good either, and they let their dogs poo and pee in the rooms , yuck! I havent had to sneak Ben in any other hotels yet, because I havent traveled since I got him, but I am not opposed to doing so when the time comes! |

| Oh, after reading Rachel's post above, I wanted to stipulate that we don't actually allow our dogs to poop or pee inside the room .
