| I don't travel much, but once a year or so I take the girls to the beach for a couple of days. We have a couple of pet friendly hotels that we like to stay at. One does not have daily maid service and they have dog treats and dog towels at the front desk. I love taking them there. I feel like I can leave them for 5 minutes without worry, though I generally don't!

| I have-- along with two cats! We were moving cross-country, and some severe weather slowed us down so that we couldn't keep to our carefully planned route of pet-friendly hotels. We had to stop at a small town in Montana one night, and could not find a pet-friendly spot, so we just snuck all three in through a side door. I felt a little guilty about it, but we HAD to stay somewhere, and I certainly wasn't leaving Penny and her feline brothers alone in the car overnight.

| OF COURSE! We even snuck them into Sea World last year in a dog stroller. Only one or two people noticed because it was raining so we covered the stroller with a blanket like all of the other parents were doing. We even told them that our baby was sleeping so we could take the stroller into the shows, since you are supposed to leave them outside. LOL!

| really tough to be anonymous ![]() Bubba & Roxy have spent several nights in my DD dorm room - even though everytime she says never again They are so good but Roxy has barked before - I just always hope there is enough noise on the floor that no one hears herThis summer we were traveling thru SD & could not find a pet friendly place near where we needed to be - we were only there for about 6-7 hrs to sleep though. Last Christmas we were flying & because of delay leaving we missed our connecting flight in Memphis - & I guess the Memphis airport closes down at night & no one can spend the night there (Thank God!) So the airline put us up at a Marriott - there was no way I was going to tell anyone at the hotel I had 2 yorkies in my bag, because I could not risk being told we won't let you stay with dogs Also, the other thing I have done is let them know I have a dog - but not 2 - as some hotels won't allow more than one or charge a ton for a second - goodness together my 2 do not weigh mor ethan 8 pounds - so much less than the average dog ![]()

| Guilty as charged. Let's face it... a 20-40 dollar non refundable pet fee for small dogs that are house trained and do not tear anything up or make noises? Somebody is making alot of money there, and if it's not pet friendly, back packs are great!

| you gotta know your dog REALLY well... i know Layla won't bark unless someone knocks on our door- which odesn't happen in a hotel room... we keep the tv on rather loud- and we use a fan at night for white noise and we run that near the door the whole time we are in the room- just in case- but she hasnt' done it yet! |

| No, never have. Ellie barks at every strange noise and it would be too hard to get away with. For the first night or two at a new place, she barks at all the strange noses and sometimes I even have to hold her mouth shut. Who needs sleep anyway? But if I thought we could get away with it, I'd probably go for it.

| My parents had driven to Florida with my Yorkie several times and had no problem finding pet friendly hotels on the way... the hotels also made sure the room was convenient for the dog to go out. I've heard high-end like the Four Seasons will take pets too, you might just have to pay a little extra.

| I just snuck Hershey into a hotel a couple weeks ago. However they were a pet friendly hotel but they only allow you to be in the smoking rooms if you have pets and I was not up for that. I carried him inside in a carrier and they never knew we ever had a dog there.
