| Several years ago, we owned an amusement park in MN and lived in Fl in the winters. Traveling back and forth, 1700 miles,it would be so late at night that we could not find vacancies, except a little motel, so we would have to tell them that we didn't have pets. Well, we had a maltese and two compucioun monkeys that we had to take in because it was so cold. The monkeys were so funny, they would hang on the screen of their cage and stare at us as we went to bed, smiling and making funny noises. Never got caught.

| We can usually scout out pet-friendly places when we're planning a road trip. I'd be afraid to try to sneak Oliver anyplace because he's been known to bark. But thanks to all of you, I'd now feel confident about approaching the clerk in a N-PF place with my adorable little Yorkster tucked under my arm and just ask straight out. Holiday Inn Express is PF in some of their facilities. Last summer they put us in a ground floor end room, so we were able to easily take Oliver out the side door when he let us know he had to go. Very convenient. Good breakfast there, too! |

| In planning our vacation a few years ago, I looked online for pet friendly motels and made reservations at one. We had a Westie at that time. When we arrived late at night I was informed that no pets were allowed. The desk clerk said since it was misrepresented online for us to to just not use the lobby for coming and going....so for 3 days we slipped in the side entrance and scurried quickly to the elevators. If I had not had a copy of the online information with me, I think we would have had to look for another place.

| we snucked Tumi to Venetian Hotel in Vegas for 3 days and no one noticed anything since she is soo good and very quite. vegas is not a pet friendly place so it is hard to find hotels that accept pets. Here is a video of Tumi doing her business at Venetian..lol ..we posted it a while back but here it is again..

| we have twice in a hotel, no issues.... BUT we are taking Dudley w/ us to Telluride, CO for a week in a "privately owned" cond that the contract states NO PETS ![]() So being he doesn't make a sound, 3 1/2 lbs and 7mo, what are they going to do?? I'm bringing a collapseable crate (easy to pack) to keep him in while were skiing and not inside, he loves his crate at home so it should be the same, RIGHT???? What would they do if they came in while we weren't they and saw him in a crate?? HOPEFULLY NOTHING!!! DH, thinks we need not bring him

| When we only had Samuel, we even took him to a casino at Atlantic City, in his bag, under my seat while I was playing blackjack, not a peep from him at all. It is harder now having Samantha as she barks if she hears anything, but that did not stop us from sneaking them in at Venetian in Las Vegas, but they stayed in the bathroom. Now that we have Sammie, it is a tad bit harder as when one barks, the rest will follow. We tried sneaking them at Lawrence Welk in San Diego once but one of their little heads popped out of the bag... the guard told us to put the dogs in the car and park the car outside the compound... that's gotta be the stupidest idea I heard in my life... needless to say, I drove back to Los Angeles and went back to San Diego the next day...

| OH yes.....In fact that is what started Wookie on the path from sleeping in his crate at night to being in the bed with me. When we were ready to go to sleep in the hotel we put him in his crate. He started barking and crying like crazy (I figured since he was in a strange place). So get him to be quite I put him in bed with me. We were on our way to my dads house for a week long visit. Once we got to my dads house, the same thing happened at night when I tried to put him in his crate. So to keep him from waking up everyone in the house, into the bed with me he went again. And he has been there ever since........ |

Hope all is well with you. Since this will be our first time flying with him, (only 7mo.old) I'm going to wing it and not give him anything and see how he does. We have a carry on bag we used w/ Julz when she woudl fly with us. He's doesn't make a peep at home and woould most likely just lay there and sleep...if not we have baby benedryl![]() I'll post pic's when we get back. He'll freeze I'm sure. Not to mention we just got a new do for him today...I'll post in a few...

| Marci, I answered No to your Poll. Only cause we've never taken them to stay overnight in any hotel. All mine are too big to go unnoticed. ![]() Tumismom - Loved the video. Thanks for sharing. Wow, I've been in the Venetian Hotel many times but never stayed there. The rooms are beautiful.
