				   | Yeah that's what I thought too. I get it though. Larger file sizes=more bandwidth. Some forums allow huge pics and then people click "quote" and leave the pic in there and it's just a lot of scrolling down.

What I don't get about image size is this. Sometimes, I can reduce the size of a photo and it still shows up rather large, like your hummingbird photos. Other times, I can reduce the size of a photo to 200kb, and it's the size of a postage stamp. So I don't understand how the same size photo reduction doesn't yield the same size in proportion on the screen always. Does that even make sense? ![]()

				   | Yeah I don't get it either. And you noticed that some of my hummingbird pics were larger than others? I think I put them all down to like 1200px or maybe 1300px but that shouldn't have resulted in such a large difference. Maybe it has something to do with the original file size and Mp?

				   | Yes but the pictures will be alot nicer ,sharper...But for inside ,portraits objects its work it. You still have a tele long range when outside...You would need to compare samples. Then you can see a big difference. |

				   | We had a lot of fun at a Yelp event for Bastille day held at Michael Mina's Bardot Brasserie. We were totally spoiled. They opened the restaurant for us 2 hours before opening as we had lots of h'or dourves (sp?), oysters and shrimp, and endless drinks! DSC01530.JPG Charcuterie plate. They even had one of the hand cranked prosciutto slicers. DSC01575.jpg DSC01544.JPG I loved the kitchen with the windows. You get the open kitchen look but none of the heat and noise.

				   | DSC01547.JPG This was part of a gallery wall they had outside the bathrooms. DSC01580.JPG Live musicians and artist. DSC01571.JPG Zarkana is also at this hotel. We walked around quite a bit after to walk off the alcohol before we went home.

				   | You are understanding it correctly. I learned using a 50mm lens, which on a 35 "full frame" camera is like what your eyes see. It's good to zoom with your feet to see different perspectives. Zoom lenses are great for convenience, but I love using prime lenses. Today's cameras do really well with low light, but still love the light capturing ability of primes and also the beautiful broke his that can be achieved with many primes. |
