Sorry, I meant highlights instead of midtones. It was the midtones bar I moved over slightly to a -14. It is a software package I use with my scrapbooking where I keep and organize my pictures. And I meant to say thank you too!

Sorry, your pics are always so good that I assume you can read my mind too! I meant fill flash. You were shooting into the sun, and I would have expected the wheat to go black like some of the ones in the background appear. The only way I know to bring out the lighter tones in the wheat would be to "fill" in the shadows with a flash or reflected light. So my confusing question really comes down to this: Did you use your flash?

Don't apologize, I feel like a "duh" moment, I should have known that,

but yes, I did use my flash on that photo. I actually took a bunch of pictures on various settings and did get some sillhouetted shots which was what I was trying for to begin with.

Reflection/shadow sounds great!

I hope they did, they said they did........lol Still a bit backlogged with editing but..........we have been VERY busy for the last month and a half. Four graduations, a wedding and my niece coming to visit. I have gotten in a LOT of experience in the last month as far as photography and editing.

I did take a trip to Texas, but we spent our time with family and didn't get out to see much so I missed my photo oportunity. Let's face it, there just is not a lot to see in Kansas. If you visited Kansas right now, mostly what you would see is wheat. So I am sharing a pic of the wheat I took tonight. I thought it turned out pretty neat.

Had to dig into the archives for shadow shots, but I always liked these.

The first is an odd shadow I noticed coming from Eddie. It looked like a MOOSE! I think it's his spirit guide!

The second is kind of a statement about Yorkies. Little dogs cast big shadows. That's Eddie and Jack.

Alaskayorkie, OMG, it does look like a moose. And in the second picture the shadow looks like a bull dog or boston terrier type of dogs. Very cool catches!
