| I Have a Funny Easter Egg Story When I first got married (I was still a youngin at 20) it was our first Easter together and I was just dying (no pun intended) to color eggs and use them as a centerpiece on our kitchen table. Well, I colored the eggs 3 weeks before Easter . . .so I would be able to admire them early . . .I had no idea I would have to keep them refrigerated . . . One day I came home from work to a horrible stank . . .the eggs were rotting and all wet in the basket . . . So ever since then, we dye our eggs on Good Friday and promptly refrigerate them. . .I will never forget that smell, . . .EVER!!!

| I know you've gotten a lot of responses, but I eat a low carb diet, so I would consider myself an expert on hard boiled eggs lol! I heat my water to boiling, then drop the eggs in SLOWLY so that the shells don't break. I boil for 15 minutes, then remove and run under cold water. If you're coloring them, make sure they cool all the way before coloring. If you're just eating them, break the shell and enjoy!

| I had to bring this post back I was feeling rather down and came across the "egg question" from Ann and someone brought up this old thread. I got such a kick out of it wanted to bring it back for others to read. Thanks all you comedians, I sure needed a laugh. |

| Hilarious! I burned a pot of eggs just last week. I have to remember to start using the timer when I boil eggs.

Who knew eggs were so thread-worthy? Eggs will need their own section pretty soon .

| this reminds me of an ex-coworker who had a 16 year old daughter, as you'll soon read, she lived a very spoiled & sheltered life. the mom heard some clinking noise & went into the kitchen, her daughter was in there rolling an egg around back & forth, when the mom asked her what she was doing she said "making a hard-boiled egg"! i cannot see this lady making this up...and who would want to, lol.
