| Hiding Ingredients from Kids or Adults Do you do it? I do all of the time ~ and have done for the last 25 years My tacos and chili ALWAYS contain beans pureed in (as well as just enough whole beans for them to pick out to be convincing ) I'm having a couple of "adult" friends visit soon hopefully, and I need more (and trickier) ideas up my sleeve to trick them I make orange and white and purple purees to hide in different foods ~ totally tasteless! What ingredients do you have to hide and how do you do it?

YT 2000 Club Member | Since I am the picky one, I guess I don't hide any thing! I detest onions!!! My in-laws put onions in everything....I mean mega amounts and chunks! I don't mind some "cooked" in foods for flavor, but the taste of raw onion chunks just gives me the willies!!!!

| Beets are one of the easier ones to hide because they are so sweet and delicious!! I try to match the color of the veggie or legume to the color of the food I'm hiding things in. Meatloaf is an easy one because brown meat masks a lot of veggies

YT 2000 Club Member | As long as I can't see, crunch or taste the onion, I would be fine with it! I wish others would be as considerate! lol

| Wouldn't beets make meatloaf taste sweet? I wonder if they would work in DH blueberry preserves?

| A lot of people put ketchup in their meatloaves. Ketchup has a lot of sugar. Adding beets would be a healthier way to sweeten it up.
