Hiding Ingredients from Kids or Adults Do you do it? I do all of the time  ~ and have done for the last 25 years :D:D My tacos and chili ALWAYS contain beans pureed in (as well as just enough whole beans for them to pick out to be convincing :D:D) I'm having a couple of "adult" friends visit soon hopefully, and I need more (and trickier:eek:) ideas up my sleeve to trick them :sidesplt: :hide2: :sidesplt::hide2: I make orange and white and purple purees to hide in different foods ~ totally tasteless! What ingredients do you have to hide and how do you do it? |
I cook beets and add it to Lots of DH meals |
Since I am the picky one, I guess I don't hide any thing! I detest onions!!! My in-laws put onions in everything....I mean mega amounts and chunks! I don't mind some "cooked" in foods for flavor, but the taste of raw onion chunks just gives me the willies!!!! |

I try to match the color of the veggie or legume to the color of the food I'm hiding things in. Meatloaf is an easy one because brown meat masks a lot of veggies  |

A lot of people put ketchup in their meatloaves. Ketchup has a lot of sugar. Adding beets would be a healthier way to sweeten it up. |

I would spice up the beets with garlic and onion or whatever flavored were in the meatloaf! |
