I haven't been very good about checking in. I went to a follow up dr. appt on Monday was given the dreaded news. Out of the 4 (cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglicerides) 3 are at high levels. I got my first ever negative talk (his tone was much firmer than this sounds) from my dr. He's giving me 6 months to lower it through diet and exercise. Soooo, I've been doing cardio workouts on my treadmill. The preprogrammed kind. I'm actually enjoying them and I've started counting my calories. |

I walked at a 3.9 pace for 4 miles. I have been fast walking and run - walking all week and i got on the scale and I lost 2 lbs. Im not really trying to lose weight because Im 110 lbs now however I have A belly and In trying to lose that and get healthy. Im now run - walking with a leukemia society training team and traing to run-walk a half marathon so give me luck I have alot of doubts I can do it |

I'm so jealous that you guys have all that great cardio going. I'm still sitting on my a-- three weeks post of. I really thought my knee would be healed by now, but it's not. I'm getting very frustrated. The first time was a walk in the park. I was off crutches in 48 hours. Arthroscopic surgery, they say heals quick is blah blah blah and here I am three weeks and still on crutches. I go back the 3rd. I was told it was bad. I had three tears, stage III chondamalacia (Not even sure what that is) and severe ostio arthritis. He had to drill holes in my bone, and a bunch of other stuff. I'm sticking to my diet, although the past few days I've been craving carbs:( In a few days I'll weigh in again (at home) and see if I lost or gained anything. Right now I'd down 7 lbs. and five days into the third week. I can't wait to be able to at least walk. It's great weather here in NJ. Perfect walking weather. UGH. |

Good luck! Thats what I do I take zumba and yoga classes then I run with a training group. It keeps me accountable and also you are out meeting people its fun |
