| My Nanny is from Italy while wheat pasta is readily the norm most Italian people who make their own add apices and herbs in the mixture of the pasta mix so the pasta itself is flavored-usually word of mouth family secret mixes. Also try vegi pasta bkends with whole wheat...I dislike egg noodle pasta its nasty except in some soups IMHO.

| I'd be concerned that the reuben sandwiches would get soggy. Now, there's an easy reuben dip you can make that to spread yourself, that might work better. I've actually never seen the reese's spider thing. |

| They don't get soggy if you have the cheese as a barrier on both ends of the bread, but you are right, I wouldn't bring them to an event during which they would need to sit long before eating.

Rice - yep, but preferably Special Fried..... Chips - yep, but preferably with vinegar and salt and a side-dip (ketchup or mayo or sweet chilli etc) Pickles - yum, but there are so many different flavours?! I think I've tried every variation I can find of pasta (wholewheat, tons of different flavours, 'filled' varieties) and I just can't be doing with it - too many other things to shovel inside me.... But then again, I love fish....and coffee.... x | |

| Someone told me today they went to a potluck that served: Small slice of baguette, thin slice of brie, clove of roasted garlic, thin slice of strawberry, and a drop or 2 or balsamic.

| first time posting a food thread, I was really laughing at some of those comments, I also am so sick of just about everything you posted. I started a monthly wine tasting club and half the women bring a bottle of wine and the other half an appetizer. We meet at 6:30 and it goes till past 9. it was supposed to be a hearty healthy dinner type appetizer, but each month the women are getting more lazy, the last meeting it was ALL cheese platters (it was my turn for wine) I felt like screaming I am hungry for real food can't you do something a little better. I really don't know how to bring the subject up, but the meeting goes right through dinner time, so who just wants cheese.
