I agree, in Michigan those things are at every other get together! I see them in Florida, but rarely.....

I would LOVE to see more Asian and Indian and Mexican (really all ethnicities) dishes represented in an at least slightly upscale fashion. Doesn't have to BE upscale ~ just has to pretend it is

(Like how a really flavorful lettuce cup is so easy to do yet so refreshing in both texture and tiredness ~ or lack there of )

We have a lot of Jamaicans around this area-I'm not saying I wouldnt eat curried goat, but if someone brought it to a potluck I'd like to know what it was before it went in my mouth!

I know what you mean. I know even with as much as I like my bake beans I would not want them at too many events!!

Oh, I love the sauces - but HATE the sluggy, wormy, all-taste-exactly-the-same-ness of the ACTUAL pasta.........it's not just the texture, it's the boring-ness of the basic same taste?

And I think you mis-read his grunts - he grunted to me that he actually grunted STU NNING .....mind you - his eyes aren't that good either.... x
