| I felt so bad throwing out those lobster shells last week. I wanted to boil it for stock but bf is not crazy about seafood. I did get a huge dungeness crab today tho. Again he was alive when I picked him out, and now he's not!!! |

| If I have wine leftover from a bottle we didn't finish or a glass left out overnight, I (again) freeze in ice trays to add to sauces and stews and soups! I do the same with beer. If I drank coffee I would also save and freeze that

| You know actually I didn't put any salt, bc the crab steaming water was pretty salty, and the crab guts in the shell were REALLY salty. Plus I put in the spare rib bones with its seasonings, so I will taste when I get home, and I can always add more salt.

| It gets saltier as it reduces too. So best to add towards the end I guess. I always salt beginning and end. Habit.
