Hmmm....chicken and rice with veggies. If that's what she will eat, I say give it.
My Ahi is a big snob of food also. But boiled chicken or hamburger is her go to food.


I just ate spam, rice, and filipino longanisa. Waiting for my jello to set so I can have that with some whip cream.

Morning all!

There was a breakfast recipe in yesterdays's newspaper...I've just made it for brunch and it was very delicious, so thought I'd share!

Scottish leek, potato + bacon stovies with fried eggs.

Serves 2

1 leek, washed and roughly chopped
1 large potato - baked
1 teaspoon creamed horseradish
4 slices 'streaky' bacon
2 eggs

1. Chop the bacon into pieces. Fry and set aside. Boil the leek in salted water until softened, then drain and chop.

2. Put the leek into a bowl. Chop up the potato and add that to the bowl too. Stir in the horseradish with a little butter. Season with salt and black pepper.

3. Now it's time to add the bacon, mix it all together and then pat into 2 thick pancake shapes.

4. Heat a little oil in a non-stick pan and fry the Stovies for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Serve with a fried egg on top of each one.

Enjoy!

These sound like what we call (potato cakes) we use onion instead of leeks and serve bacon & egg as sides...I use leftover mashed potatoes to make them sooo good

Yes, they are very similar to potato cakes...I just thought I'd offer a British variation...or rather Scottish!!

We started with a trip around the salad bar before the meeting and after we had the sampler apatizer. Which was stuffed potato skins mozzarella sticks jalepeno poppers breaded shark chicken bites and deep fried zuchini then we had taco soup then i had some of his mixed bbq ribs tbone and tri tip ttrio platter and moved onto my beer battered fish and chips...it was all fda certified organic too gotta love Eel River Brewery it was worth the trip to Fortuna...such a cow town...I feel like such a gluttonous. Cow too! :-)

Can you try mixing in a teaspoon of pre-soaked kibble with the chicken and see if she will go for that? If she doesn't, try only a few pieces of soaked kibble and mash it up/mix it with the chicken well so that she has to eat it to get her chicken. If she will eat it, you could maybe gradually increase the kibble little by little. .Tibbe is such a willing eater, it is hard to imagine one that won't but my first Yorkie, Scotty, was extremely picky as a puppy when I first got him so I do know how finicky they can be. However, Scotty eventually got tricked into eating some kibble to get his chicken and gradually graduated to eating nothing but kibble with the occasional veggies and meat added. But I really had to start out baby steps and just let him go hungry for an almost whole day after he got to be about 5 mos. old once I started adding the tiny bits of kibble. Eventually, he ate it after I just put some of it in his mouth and he discovered how hungry he really was and how welcome that taste of food was. Those picky eaters can drive you crazy.

Sugar overload with huge Mrs. Baird's Honey Bun and sweetened coffee with creamer. So good but now I'll have to eat healthy for a week to compensate! We've got a few days of forecast rainy weather coming so I guess I'm storing up good sensations against the coming clouds. But, as long as the weather isn't dangerous with thunderstorms, etc., I really do love the rain. It's lovely to just get your work done and then lie back and snooze/take it easy as it rains outside. Should be able to catch some more Upstairs-Downstairs and the last episode of Downtown Abbey over these next few days.
