| Love this thread!!! I just wanted to share an EASY Ranch dressing recipe that my hubby taught me how to make: 1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix 1 cup mayo 1 cup sour cream milk I mix the first 3 ingredients and add milk to the desired consistency.. It's restaurant dressing. It can thicken as it sets...you can always add a bit more milk to thin it just a little..unless you want it thick! I have never bought another bottle of ranch dressing since!

| I love cole slaw, so I shred two cups of cabbage, grate 1 cup of carrots and mix with the following dressing: 1 cup sour cream 2 tablespoons lemon juice 2 tablespoons vinegar 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper If you prefer a sweeter taste, you can add 2 tablespoons sugar. Combine the dressing and slaw and serve. You can double and tripe this recipe for more people.

| This salad is certainly not lo-cal but it's oh so good..... BLT Salad Ingredients 1 pound bacon 3/4 cup mayonnaise 1/4 cup milk 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper salt to taste 1 head romaine lettuce - rinsed, dried and shredded 2 large tomatoes, chopped 2 cups seasoned croutons Directions Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat, turning frequently, until evenly browned. Drain, crumble and set aside. In a blender or food processor, combine mayonnaise, milk, garlic powder and black pepper. Blend until smooth. Season the dressing with salt. Combine lettuce, tomatoes, bacon and croutons in a large salad bowl. Toss with dressing, and serve immediately.

| "Kraft Roasted Red Pepper Italian w/ Parmesan dressing and marinade" only has 40 calories per TBSP without being fatfree, its really tasty with a little heat-the rest of the family loves regular italian dressing. When I want something a little different I mix 1 Tbsp Italian,2Tbsp orange juice and 1 Tbsp brown spicy mustard- cuts the calories and lots of flavor. Grapes and apples and dried cranberry are some of my favorite crunchy adds. |

| Yum all these salads sound so good!! Dh and I love salads!! My fav one to make is: BBQ Chicken Salad: First BBQ some chicken breast, I like to use Tony Romas BBQ Sauce. Then take Roman lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, salt, pepper, boiled egg, bacon bites. I also make my own Ranch dressing. (its real simple) You take a ranch packet (the powder, the one that says "buttermilk") take some Mayonnaise, and Buttermilk. I never measure I just look at pour. But I think I use: 2 cups mayo 1/2 cup buttermilk 2 packets Mix all together and stick it in the fridge, it has to chill for at least an hour You can always taste and add more depending if you want it think or thin... Also for a good veggie dip; THIS IS THE BEST! 1 tub cream cheese 2 packets ranch dip Mix and serve, this is sooooo yum with any veggie!! Last edited by lovespandp; 02-22-2011 at 08:58 AM. |

| Okay, I don't have exact measurements. They have this as a house salad at one of my fav restaurants, so I kinda just put it together myself at home. It is really simple. Romaine lettuce, chopped of course. Crushed Pecans Bleu cheese chunks and Balsamic vinegar and Olive oil for the dressing It is simple and soooo yummy!!
