I'm not sure of the significance of candles with Passover, but this year they coincide with the regular Friday night sabbath candles. I always light candles for loved ones on the holidays, so John and I have lit them for both of our moms, our babies, and my very dear friend, Diane. It's something that brings me closer to them during the holiday, but they are always very close in our hearts. Thank you for thinking about me. I hope you had a wonderful time with your friends today and that you have a Happy Easter tomorrow.

I keep thinking about you and Zoey. I hope you receive great news at the oncologist tomorrow and that her next treatment helps here even more. You and Dave have put your hearts and souls into doing everything possible to help your beautiful girl to get stronger, to get to a more healthy weight, and to help her to feel better overall. You have armed yourself with knowledge, cooked for her with love, strongly advocated for your girl, and showered her with lots of care, attention, and affection. I pray that Zoey continues to gain weight and ro be responsive to all of the love that she receives from you and that she goes into remission. Your precious girl has so much to live for, and she leads a charmed life.

Thank you Lisa. You understand so well that roller-coaster. And you understand what is most often at the end of the "ride".

This is an update before Zoey goes to the oncologist tomorrow. I am in more fear now for her life. The first wk or so was amazing with the reduction in swelling, her return to food, her ability to walk and move around. Well now, I'm seeing some signs, her swelling over her neck area has increased after being reduced. The other lymph areas are not so clear in terms of my palpatory skills. We had some diarrhea(bloody) and vomiting late Sun evening/earling MOn am, and we took her in. She rallied fine, and poops etc were normal over the past two/three days.

but, But, there are some things I've noticed beyond the swelling. Intermittent difficulty in getting up from laying down. That strange high pitched bark is back to being really often. I think her mid section is swollen again; and not just a function of putting weight back on. Her appetite is still good. her nose remains hot and dry. She called out in her sleep the other night, the strangest noise. I'm not sure how to describe it, almost like a wail, never heard this from her before.

This is so very very hard. She is on my mind, and my heart, so many hours of each day. Crying.

Reading this just breaks my heart... I am desperately praying for a cure or some resolve, comfort for you both. Shine on, Bright, Shining Light, due North to Friends in need of healing. Blast the shadows out of their path, that they may gain what they seek, and see and feel the Light around them, in all corners and all along their way. In my heart and thoughts always....

Thank you Bonny. It is in the morning. My hubby has taken some time off this wk and he is to bring her in. I am right now struggling with cancelling my morning tomorrow to go with and see the oncologist with Zoey and hubby.

I know I am a worry wart and a taddish control freak. But I do so want to see/feel look in the oncologist eyes to assess totally the responses to the questions I have.

Thank you Lisa. I will stay strong, but at times I need to let the pain out. To share here, where so many members know the heart punch of this kind of thing. Zoey is such a gentle soul, just wanting love and pets, of course she responds to her guarding instincts, but at home she is such a lover girl. I believe she knows that something is really wrong with her. And it is our task, our challenge, to treat her with love and joy and happiness, so that she doesn't wonder why we have changed towards her.
