Good morning people. (and pets)

Well, I couldn't decide between two cakes to make for my younger sons birthday (today) so I am making two.:rolleyes: :D How's that for not being able to make a decision????

It's Jolie's birthday, too so I'll just pretend one is for her.:D She is one year old today. I can't believe how fast the time goes. I'll be 80 before you know it.

I have to give Tinka a bath, give me a shower, make the other cake and get some ice cream and candles. Need to do some doggy laundry, too. Then tonight my son and I are picking up dinner and taking it to my mom's so she can celebrate with us. (yes, I'm taking both cakes :D ) I think I will only bring two dogs along this time. I'm going to try the med I got for car sickness on Tinka to see if it really works.

My bird is saying, "Get out of here." Hope she's not talking to me!

"No bark."

"Come here girls." (meaning the dogs) Those are some of the other things coming out of her mouth right now.:rolleyes: She says those things imitating my voice. Such a silly bird.

I guess it is good that your bird talks.. as long as it does not start asking the Dogs to go potty... then you will be in trouble...

LOL. The dogs ignore the bird (Cleo) - luckily, because she does say, "Go potty." She also tells them to go to their kennels and to not bark, among many other things. :D

Well, I asked for help with recipes here (in a different thread) and got some good ideas. I ended up making the Earthquake Cake and a chocolate cake. There was SO much cake left over - I left some with my mom and sent the rest home with my son.:)

Tinka and Brea came along. My mom loves seeing the dogs. She loves Tinka especially. :) She likes to see what dress Brea will show up in.:D

We brought supper from the Olive Garden (I had gift certificates). It was all very good and we were stuffed to the gills.

So, today I go to the podiatrist and then to have my MRI done. All I want to do is curl up on the couch with my pillow and blankey.

Teri, good luck with your appointments. What's up with your foot?

Oh bother. My big toe really hurts. I can't really walk on it. We're going to try some new orthodics, if that doesn't help we will try a shot of cortisone. If that doesn't help, we'll probably do surgery where they will put in a titanium pin to keep the bones separated.

I say to heck with the in between stuff and go for the surgery. I don't like wasting time. On my other foot, we tried all the same stuff and I still ended up having surgery.

I don't mind having surgery. I think it's kinda cool. All this piddly stuff is a waste of time.

Do I sound frustrated?????

Had my MRI done. I did well considering I have claustrophobia and it took about 45 minutes, part of which I had an iv in. Don't know when the results will be in.

I got the keys to our new house today so I've been painting... we move Saturday.

Hmmm. Well, surgery is really hard on your body, so I imagine that's why they like to try the other options first. Cortizone doesn't work for me anymore either, but they still keep trying and I keep hoping!

We're moving to a different house to the one we were moving to. We found this one on Sunday night!

I'm exhausted I've been up since 6:30. and as i've posted recently we're having all the carpet removed and the old tile taken up from the whole apartment and putting a new tile down. there was a musky stinky smell in the carpets. and my mom is asthmatic. so ok for the past two weekends i have busted my butt boxing everything up and getting it outta the way. so when i woke up this morning. i put as much of the boxes and stuff in the bathtub and some on the kitchen counters. trying to get stuff out of the way. so the flooring ppl get here and its just 2 people husband and wife :eek: (hello ... DUH. common sense you need more people) so of course they asked if i had anything i could do today cause they were going to glue their self out. and so i pack up what i needed to use cause i cant get back in my apt. and go to my neighbors. well then they look around and figured out hey we're gonna need more ppl to help move furniture... DUH lol
so they leave to go find help. well about 11 am (they got here at 9) manager calls and said their not coming back to do the work today cause they have no help. i was FURIOUS... :mad:
so please say a prayer they come back tomorrow and do the job.

sorry for such a long post... needed to vent...

Umm, I think I would be rather mad, myself. After all that getting ready and getting out of the house, etc... I take it they are not "real" professionals.

I hope they get it done fast - that kind of stuff can get pretty stressful.
