One of my dearest friends did 4 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan. He became an alcoholic. Lost his wife and family, moved to another state. Finally, after 6 years he quit drinking. He's doing much better now. Has a new girlfriend that he plans to marry. I think it just takes time, and unfortunately, a lot of it. Lots of healing that has to happen.

My oldest son served during in the Iraq war first then my younger son went.
I went two years of not sleeping very well

I salute you. Honestly, I don't know how you slept at all. I think I would have lost my mind. I can't imagine how one gets through the night knowing one's son is over there in such peril.

Your sons have done a great thing for us.. I agree it has to be so hard on them and the families. Glad he is in a better place and happy now.

We have been put in a blizzard warning. Saying. 12 to 18 inches this morning. I will have a lot of time to win. By tomorrow we won't be doing anything. I hate to see this nice weather leave. But hey it's almost March it won't be around to long. (I hope)

7-11 proclaimed me the winner yesterday. Yesterday evening, I realized I had left my bank card in the reader early that morning, ran up there to get it. When the employee found it, he held my card up and yelled, "Winner!" When we got outside, my son said, "Winner. Winner. Chicken Dinner." So we had chicken for dinner. From winning yesterday, I surmise that *I* am the winner. Your attempts to take it from me are futile.
