I can totally agree to disagree with you on somethings....In the end tho I think we want the same things....The violence towards animals to STOP and to see all of God's creatures (including humans) to be treated with nothing but love. What I am saying has nothing to do with racial discrimination and I think that that is where many people drew a wall in here. It has to do with social class and culture.

I guess the only person I was trying to addess Michael Vick...not a group of people as a whole. I know but i just wanted to bring up the point that you can look only at Vick but this problem exist among a group of people. Vick is only one person who contributes to this Problem and that is what Whoopi is trying to address and what I had been trying to address in other Vick threads.

I appreciate each and every person that posts in this thread. We may not agree but i i respect each and every person. As many have posted , Whoopi's quotes were taken out of context, and once you go back and check out the whole conversation you can understand where she came from. I am color blind as well, if i wasn't I don't think i would even be able to Kiss my white boyfriend, or eat Dinner with my best friends who are from Afghanistan, or taste some of this Puerto Rican food cause it looks funny. My son listens to green day and aerosmith, and some other "white people music"> I know his peer group including my family will give him grief about it when we get back to NE. He does that because i listen to all kinds of music myself. But as much as we all try to be color blind we have to remember that other people are not and some social and cultural issues effect a certain race of people.

Also remember that my whole stance and argument is that talking bad about VIck or Whoopi in this case will stop all the other offenders out there.

Could we please STOP this nonsense! I am incredibly offended about some of the things that have just been posted not just for myself but for others as well. This is NOT a racial issue, the issue is surrounding animal cruelty. Lookup the statistics, the majority of dog fighters are caucasian and hispanic but ALL races fight dogs. If you just focus on preventing the problem in one race, then you will never solve the problem.

I find it offensive to link race with dog fighting and stereotype a race like that. And how the heck did they hate this color of people and this is music that this color of people come up?
