| When I was in junior high all the girls were getting layers in their hair. I have naturally curly hair and so I went to my grandma (who is a beautician) and said I wanted my hair shoulder length with short layers. YIKES!!! Thats what I got. My shortest layer I think was layerd with my eyebrow, and it curled up! I couldn't wear my hair in a ponytail or anything it looked terrible. Once I also asked for blonde highlights and I got white hair. I hated junior high! LOL

| Once I let my aunt cut my hair at home and a few days later I got a perm. I knew that I had bangs before the perm but afterwards they were gone and my hair was a lot thinner. A few weeks later I noticed that I had a million little 1/2 inch hairs sticking up all over my head. When my hair was wet and slicked down I had another head of hair that was in a buzz cut. That was terrible for about 2 years until it grew out enough. That was about 15 years ago and I have never had a perm again. Maybe it wouldn't have been that bad if I had waited a couple weeks after having my hair cut.... |

| I am laughing soo hard at all of ya! LOL! My biggest mistake was when I had only been in beauty school for about 1 month! And of course, I had an ego by then, and thought I knew it all! I had super blond hair all summer, so before I started beauty school, I went like a reddish brown! And it was awesome! Loved it! So one day, at school, I decided to put a body wave in my hair. The instuctor said sure, and asked if I had highlights in my hair. I said NO!!!! Big mistake! So we permed on big rods, and when all was said and done, my hair was sooo curly! It was tighter than a poodles hair....I kid you not! I didn't realize that just because you cover up old highlights, that they are still there! They will be there til you cut them out! And I thought that just by covering them up, that they were gone! So I had BAD hair for quite some time! I learned my lesson!!!!! So now, I almost never perm anyone that has had highlights int he past 2 years!~

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | hahaha this thread is SO funny! Well, this one doesn't really count as a "beauty" mistake, but whatever. So I was in like 1st grade, and it was the day before (or of?) picture day at school. I had bangs straight across my forehead. I decided "I'm tired of bangs." so, instead of putting in a headband or something, I decided it would be easier to cut them off myself. so I took out a pair of scissors, snip-snip, and I still laugh every time I see that school picture. Last year I was in the shower and I got like a gallon of shampoo in my eye. I washed it out, but I still couldn't see. So I decided to finish up my shower, then deal with it afterwords. So I'm feeling around for my conditioner, and I felt what I thought was the bottle. Put it all in, everything's good. The next day my hair was so greasy it was disgusting. So I took about 3 showers. Still greasy. I realized that what I thought was my conditioner was actually body lotion. Oops! Oh and I also decided I wanted my hair to be short when I was about 10 (I've always had hair that goes down almost to the middle of my back). So my mom takes me to the salon, I got my hair cut short. Like up to my ears short. I looked like one of the Beatles.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | ^OH yeah, I just remembered something I did back in January. I decided my eyebrows were too long (they're actually pretty good, but I was looking for something to dislike about myself haha), so I took one of those little face razor things. I trimmed the edges. It wasn't TOO obvious, but I felt like everyone was staring at me. Luckily, it's all good now.

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Megan, I did just about the same as you, instead of using the shampoo in the shower last week I used the ole liquid body moisture soap, the bottles are both white and oops, couldn't figure out why my hair felt like it did, till I showered the next day, LOL. Funniest thing Jack did that I recall was, but at our neighbors direction. Our neighbors years ago got new carpet our friends husband asked Jack to cut the bottom of the doors off so as our neighbor marked them Jack cut em, well, when all was said and done he had marked at the wrong end, big time oops. So our neighbors ended up turning the doors upside down to install them and what a lady she was, she said the doorknobs were always to low for her anyway easy solution she said to a problem anyway,LOL. Then when she called our daughter over to show her their new carpet, our daughter discovered (wouldn't you know it) the installers had installed same color green through out the home but had mixed two different sculp patterns so they had to come back and replace it all.
